Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a composition of anti-icing aqueous solution for surface treatment of roads from winter slippery (snow, ice, sleet) on roads and streets, in cities and towns.
2-40%. A known method of obtaining an anti-icer - deicing composition used to eliminate snow and ice formations (as USSR AS N 272462, 1970). The composition contains calcium chloride or its mixture with sodium chloride, in which, in order to prevent metal corrosion, sodium nitrite is added in an amount of 2-40%.
The composition is obtained in the form of crystalline salt by a complex technology: evaporated to a certain concentration at high temperatures, crystallized, dried and packaged. All this leads to high energy costs. In addition, the use of such a composition on roads negatively affects plants growing along the roads.
Недостатком данного реагента являются недостаточно низкие температуры замерзания (не ниже -23oC).The closest analogue of the present invention is an anti-icing reagent (US patent N 4094805, 1978), containing calcium chloride and / or sodium chloride and / or urea and 0.01-100% ethylene oxide polymer (polyoxide). This reagent is proposed for use before the water freezes on concrete and asphalt roads in order to prevent their destruction. The disadvantage of this reagent is not low enough freezing temperatures (not lower than -23 o C).
The objective of the present invention is to provide an affordable low-cost composition with good melting properties at a low crystallization temperature, a composition that has a low degree of corrosion and does not adversely affect the environment, a composition that can be applied after freezing water on roads.
The problem is solved in that the composition of the anti-icing aqueous solution for surface treatment of roads includes calcium chloride, urea and additionally contains a corrosion inhibitor of metal surfaces from a number of Quaternary ammonium compounds, such as polybenzylammonium or polybenzylpyridinium chlorides or mixtures thereof, in the following ratio of components, wt. %:
Calcium Chloride - 20-30
Urea - 2-5
Corrosion Inhibitor - 0.02-0.04
Water - Else
The choice of optimal concentration parameters of the anti-icing composition is shown in the table.
20-30%.The choice of concentration of calcium chloride (20-30%) is associated with temperature conditions during processing: less than 20% does not allow processing at temperatures below -15 o C, and more than 30% loses all meaning, because such a temperature can be achieved within a concentration of calcium chloride of 20-30%.
N 4 и N 5-7). The table shows that the addition of a corrosion inhibitor reduces the freezing temperature of the solution (cf.
(N 5-7). The choice of limit values for the concentration of the corrosion inhibitor (0.02-0.04%) is associated with the effectiveness of its effect on the metal: the concentration of 0.01 is still insufficient, and the use of a concentration of more than 0.04 loses all sense, since the corrosion rate does not change significantly (N 5-7).
Assessment of the phytotoxic effect on plants was carried out on seed germination at the initial stage of their development, which made it possible to assess the degree of influence on seed development in an acceptable range of urea exposure.
2-5% (N 9-11).An indicator of phytotoxicity was the magnitude of the inhibition of plant root growth — the average length of the roots of the seeds (α cf ) and (α cf ,%) to the control. Control seeds were germinated on distilled water and duplicated in duplicate (α cf of the control sample was 86.42 mm). We have chosen a limit for urea concentration of 2-5% (N 9-11).
The product is a 20-30% aqueous solution of calcium chloride with 2-5% urea and 0.02-0.04% polybenzylammonium and polybenzylpyridinium chlorides or mixtures thereof.
Tests have shown that this product fully meets the requirements for anti-icing solutions for surface treatment of roads.
