Нитролаки представляют собой коллоидные растворы лакового коллоксилина требуемой вязкости в смеси растворителей и разбавителей с добавлением или без добавления смол и пластификаторов (Лившиц М.Л., Пшиялковский Б.И. Лакокрасочные материалы: Справочное пособие. - М.: Химия, 1982, С. 254-255, с. 285.)
Известен нитроцеллюлозный лак, содержащий пироксилиновый порох, глицериновый эфир канифоли, в качестве пластификатора дибутилфталат, а в качестве летучей части ацетон, бутилацетат, этиловый спирт (Патент РФ N2114139, кл., C 09 D 101/18, 1998 г.) Поставленная задача достигается за счет использования состава, содержащего конверсионный пироксилиновый порох, условная вязкость 5%-ного раствора которого в ацетоне не превышает 48,5 с по B3-4, смолу КМ (канифольно-малеиновую), тощую алкидную смолу, в частности смолу 130, представляющую собой глифталевый полиэфир (45%-ный раствор в ксилоле), модифицированный синтетическими жирными кислотами фракции C10-C13 или C6-C10, дибутилфталат, ацетон, бутилацетат, этиловый спирт и растворитель 646, состоящий из бутилацетата 10%, этилцеллозольва 8%, ацетона 7%, спирта бутилового 15%, спирта этилового 10%, толуола 50%, при следующем соотношении компонентов, мас.%:
