Известны станки для бритья с жесткозакрепленными лезвиями - "разовые станки" и станки, использующие сменные лезвия и сменные кассеты, в которых режущие кромки расположены под прямым углом к направлению бритья. Принцип действия этих станков практически одинаков, и различие достигается лишь количеством лезвий и наличием дополнительных приспособлений, позволяющих в некоторой мере улучшить процесс бритья.
