Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the metallurgical industry, namely to the design of insulating-rater blocks of hearth pipes of heating furnaces.
The support system directly affects a number of technical and economic indicators of the operation of these furnaces (capital and operating costs, product quality, productivity, etc.). Hearth support pipes and risers absorb heat and shield the charge from heating from below. The heat-absorbing support system reduces the efficiency of the furnace, and “dark spots” (colder areas) lead to a number of defects during further processing of the metal. The design of the support should be reliable, durable and provide the minimum possible shielding and maximum surface temperature of the support.
Known thermal insulation of the bottom tubes of heating furnaces [1], containing a protective casing of heat-resistant material with low heat conductivity with internal protrusions - supporting planes and grooves for liners. The liners are inseparably relative to the casing installed in the grooves. The gap between the protective cover and the hearth pipe is filled with insulating material.
Closest to the proposed technical solution is an insulating-rater block [2], containing a U-shaped casing made of heat-resistant metal, equipped with inserts fixed in the upper part of the casing, a hearth pipe on which the rafter is mounted, and kaolin wool placed between the casing and the pipe .
Uncertainty of the size of the casing, the thickness of its wall and the uneven temperature along the length of the furnace lead to deformation of the latter, separation at the weld points from the rafter and the hearth pipe and the failure of the entire supporting structure.
According to the invention, the wall thickness of the protective casing is 0.025 - 0.2 or 0.5 - 2.0 of the thickness of the insulating material.
If the thickness of the protective casing is less than 0.025 of the thickness of the insulating material, then the casing does not withstand mechanical stresses, and there are also difficulties in its manufacture. Especially when the manufacture of the casing is carried out by casting, as well as during the welding process when welding to the rider.
When the thickness of the protective casing is more than 2.0 times the thickness of the heat-insulating material, the metal consumption, the weight of the structure, warpage of the casing and its separation in the places of welding unreasonably increase. Reducing the thickness of the insulating material leads to significant heat loss.
The proposed insulation-rater block (see drawing) includes a protective casing 1, one-piece connected to the raider 2, mounted on the hearth pipe 3 and connected to it and to the casing one-piece.
4. The space between the protective casing 1 and the hearth pipe 3 is filled with insulating material 4.
