Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the production of composite materials based on bitumen binders and can be used in road and airfield construction, as well as for the manufacture of waterproofing coatings and mastics.
Bitumen compositions are known, including fibrous and powdery mineral fillers - mineral wool, asbestos, limestones, dolomite (Road-building materials. Textbook for high schools / I.G. Korolev, I.M. Borshch, G.M. Mishchenko.- M. : Transport, 1991, p. 357). The disadvantages of the above compositions are low strength, heat and frost resistance, which leads to a reduction in the life of the composition, especially in conditions of elevated ambient temperature gradients.
Closest to the technical nature and purpose of the present invention is a bitumen composition containing a powdered layered mineral filler - talc (A.S. USSR N 1527213, class C 04 B 26/26, 1989). The specified composition, with increased workability, has the same disadvantages as the previous compositions. Together, these shortcomings worsen the performance of the bitumen composition and lead to its premature destruction.
When creating the invention, the following technical problem was solved: the creation of a bituminous composition of increased strength, heat and crack resistance.
The solution of this technical problem is achieved by the fact that the bitumen composition, including a bitumen binder, contains expanded vermiculite sand of a fraction of 0.6 to 1 mm as a mineral filler in the following ratio of components, wt.%:
Bituminous binder - 94-98
Mineral filler - expanded vermiculite sand - 2-6
Expanded vermiculite sand is obtained by expanding natural hydromica at 900-1100 o C. The volume of expanded product increases 10-20 times compared with the feedstock due to the removal of interlayer water. It is admitted in accordance with GOST 12865-67 grades 100, 150, 200 and 250, depending on bulk density. It is used in various industries as a sound and heat insulating material.
For the preparation of the bitumen composition, for example, 960 kg of bitumen binder (BND 60/90 according to GOST 22245-76) and 40 kg of mineral filler - expanded vermiculite sand of grade 150 according to GOST 12865-67, fractions from 0.6 to 1 mm are taken. The preparation of the bitumen composition is carried out by introducing expanded vermiculite sand into bitumen, heated to a temperature of 80 o C with stirring.
The properties were determined according to GOST 11506-73, 12801-84. Assessment of crack resistance was carried out according to the degree of destruction, characterized by the ratio of σ sr / σ izg . The lower the degree of destruction, the higher the crack resistance of the stone.
на 40% возрастает прочность;
на 12% повышается теплостойкость;
The test results of the bitumen composition and its compositions are shown in the table, from which it follows that the bitumen composition according to the invention (compositions 3-5) has better properties than the known bitumen composition (composition 1), namely:
40% increased strength;
12% increase in heat resistance;
crack resistance is increased by 4%.
When the content of the components is higher than the upper (composition 2) and lower than the lower limits (composition 6) in the first case, the heat and crack resistance of the stone sharply decrease, and in the second, the strength of the bitumen composition.
The combination of the above positive properties of the proposed technical solution allows to increase the operational reliability and durability of the bitumen composition.
