To fulfill the technical task, an additive is introduced into the glass, including at least two REE oxides from the group: Sm 2 O 3 , Eu 2 O 3 , CeO 2 , Y 2 O 3 , Pr 2 O 3 , Tb 2 O 3 , La 2 O 3 , Nd 2 O 3 , Gd 2 O 3 , Dy 2 O 3 , in the following ratio of components, wt.%:
Sm 2 O 3 - 0.5 - 90
Eu 2 O 3 - 0.5 - 80

As glass, you can use silicate, borate or phosphate glass. To obtain additives using REE oxides, waste from their production. For example, waste when using polyrite, waste phosphors. You can also use the product of processing the coatings of the screens of cathode ray tubes or individual fractions of REE concentrates obtained in the process of separation of the sum of REE, for example, polyethylene or SEGOK concentrate, to obtain an additive. In addition, waste colored glass can be used for laser technology.
The technology for producing lighting glass with the proposed additive does not differ from conventional glass technology and includes cooking, production, annealing. The raw materials used are silica sand, soda, potash, dolomite, REE compounds, for example, polite or rare-earth phosphors waste. The components of the mixture are mixed, boiled at a temperature of 1350 - 1500 o C under slightly oxidizing conditions, produced, annealed. Glass with the described additive is highly technological and does not crystallize in the production interval; it can be manufactured either by rolling or by drawing. The additive is introduced into the glass in an amount of 0.1 - 5% in excess of 100% glass.
The resulting glasses have luminescent properties, because REEs are activators of intense luminescence of glasses with characteristic spectra. The luminescence spectra are determined by the nature of the REE themselves, their concentration. The resulting glass converts the UV part of the light into orange-red light with a wavelength of 580 - 700 nm.
Glass with a maximum amount of additive (2 - 5%) can be crushed and used as an additive in a charge in an amount of up to 10% to obtain glasses with luminescent transformation properties.
This glass can be crushed, added to an ordinary charge during glass melting and glass can also be obtained with the properties of luminescent transformation.
Some specific formulations of the proposed additives are shown in the table (see the end of the description).
0,1 - 5%. These additives are added to the mixture in excess of 100% in an amount of 0.1 - 5%.
The following is a specific example of the implementation of the proposed invention. In the glass composition, wt.%:
SiO 2 - 73.2

MgO - 4.1
Fe 2 O 3 - 0.12
R 2 O - 15.3
SO 3 - 0.38
Al 2 O 3 - 1.2
In addition to 100%, an additive containing Eu 2 O 3 - 90% and La 2 O 3 - 10% in an amount of 1% is introduced. Lighting glass containing the specified additive converts the UV part of sunlight into orange-red light.
As components containing REE, you can use at least one of the fractions of REE concentrates obtained in the process of separation of the sum of REEs, for example, polite or SEGOC concentrate.
10% Gd2O3.The SEGOC concentrate according to TU AD-11-40-88 contains at least 55% Sm 2 O 3 , at least 10% Eu 2 O 3 and at least 10% Gd 2 O 3 .
78 - 85%. Light transmission of glass with a thickness of 3 mm at a wavelength of 400 nm 70 - 85%; 500 nm 70 - 85%; 600 nm 80 - 88%; 700 nm 78 - 85%.
Glass with the addition of SEGOC concentrate additionally allows light to be reflected in the orange-red region of the spectrum.
The obtained lighting glasses with the proposed additive have stable light-transforming properties, are relatively cheap to manufacture due to the use of rare-earth phosphors or REE concentrates.
