Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of aviation and for the repair of aircraft.
Conducted patent research did not allow to identify inventions that describe methods for repairing aircraft glazing.
An analogue of the present invention can be attributed to a method of processing fibrous compositions, according to which, when repairing a product, part of the material is removed from the damaged area and leveled with resin (see FRG patent 4019744 from 01/01/92).
In aviation, this method is not acceptable, because the product after such a repair has distorting optical characteristics, which reduces flight safety, therefore, at the time of repair and maintenance of aircraft, damaged glazing elements are replaced with new ones, but this is not economically viable.
The technical problem solved by the invention is to extend the service life of the glazing of aircraft by conducting preventive repairs.
The solution of this problem is carried out by removing part of the material from the damaged place, which is done by sequentially performing operations of looping, grinding and polishing, while the center of the looping zone is taken to be the center of damage or the center of the group of damage, and R is the radius of the looping zone determined from the condition R> 500 H, where H is the maximum depth of cycling; during grinding, the treated surface is cooled with vegetable oil. In addition, when polishing can be used polishing paste with the addition of water in the polishing zone.
- поверхностное растрескивание ("серебро")- поверхностные микротрещины глубиной до 0,1 мм, обнаруживаемые невооруженным глазом в отраженном свете по характерному серебристому блеску. При глубине более 0,1 мм такие дефекты квалифицируются как поверхностные трещины;
- скол (забоина) - местное повреждение поверхности стекла, образовавшееся в результате отрыва части стекла чешуйчатой формы;
- выколка - точечное повреждение поверхности стекла в виде впадины;
During operation, the following defects may appear on the glazing elements of aircraft made of organic acrylic glass (linear polyacrylates), namely:
- surface cracking (“silver”) - surface microcracks with a depth of up to 0.1 mm, detected with the naked eye in reflected light by a characteristic silvery sheen. With a depth of more than 0.1 mm, such defects qualify as surface cracks;
- chip (nick) - local damage to the surface of the glass, resulting from the detachment of part of the glass flake form;
- punch - point damage to the surface of the glass in the form of a cavity;
- scratch - damage to the surface of the glass, which is an elongated system of continuously drifting out one another. There are hair scratches, the width of which does not exceed 0.05 mm, and the depth is practically impossible to measure, and rough scratches - more than 0.05 mm wide and different in depth.
Mechanical damage to the glazing elements of aircraft occurs on glass surfaces as a result of exposure to sand, small stones during take-off and landing, hail in flight, ultraviolet irradiation, as well as in violation of the rules for caring for parts during maintenance.
Due to the high cost of glazing elements, the complexity of the molding and manufacturing of glazing parts, and also to reduce repair time, a method has been developed to eliminate mechanical damage to glazing elements without dismantling organic glass from the metal frame of the unit.
A method of repairing glazing elements of aircraft is as follows:
1. The operation of cycling - from areas of organic glass that have mechanical damage ("silver", chips, nicks, rough scratches), the surface layer is removed by cycling. The operation is performed manually using cycles.
The cycling is performed by smooth longitudinal-transverse passages in the zone, the center of which is mechanical damage or the center of the damage group.
The radius of the cycling zone should be chosen in such a way as to exclude the possibility of a coarse depression in the defect zone, but not less than 500 N, where H is the maximum cycling depth.
The greatest depth of cycling should be in the center of the zone of defects with a gradual decrease towards the edges of the zone of cycling.
The looping is carried out by evenly-pressed passages; various depths of the removed glass thickness are achieved by increasing or decreasing the number of passes of the cycle in a given zone. The surface of the part is cycled until a smooth surface is obtained without obvious dips with the gradual alignment of the cycle zone to the edges.
2. Grinding operation - is carried out by sheet grinding skins.
When performing coarse sanding with a grain of 50-40 grit, it is necessary to remove all remaining traces from the passes of the cycle.
10. It is necessary to grind with cooling with vegetable oil (sunflower, corn, olive), which is chemically neutral to organic glass, and ensures the presence on the surface of the glass of a liquid, easily shifted mixture in conjunction with an abrasive from the sandpaper. Grinding of the looped zone should be carried out by changing the grain size of the skin to a smaller one, until glass is translucent, performing a gradual transition from a skin with a grain size of 25 to 10.
28. 3. The operation of polishing - the final processing of the sanded area to carry out grinding skins with grit abrasive M40-M28.
Mirror polish with M10-M5 skins and polishing paste for organic glass.
Polishing with paste with the addition of water to the polishing zone is carried out until a completely transparent surface is obtained that does not differ from the rest of the organic glass.
