Abstract

By combining motions of back and seat and, thus, changing their relative position, user may quickly and without applying substantial muscular force transform one piece of furniture into other balanced construction. When serving table top or bed, back rests with its one end on base cross member and with its other end on end of fixed seat. Such construction allows interior room parameters to be changed in accordance with current requirements and space to be saved. Description

 The invention relates to furniture production and can be used in the manufacture of multifunctional furniture that can be easily transformed from a piece of furniture for sitting, for example a chair or sofa, armchair, bench into a piece of furniture with other functions, for example a bed, table (dining or working), desk, culman , easel, etc.

 There are many types of convertible furniture, but they do not have a sufficiently wide conversion range, are often cumbersome and structurally complex and, accordingly, inconvenient to manufacture and use, for example: massage table-simulator according to RF patent N 2058106, class. A 47 C 19/00, 1996, convertible to a dining or writing table or to a bed; combined furniture bed, chair, table according to the patent of the Russian Federation N 2056782, class A 47 C 17/52, 1996, sofa bed according to the patent of the Russian Federation N 2016533, cl. A 47 C 17/04, 1994.

 The closest analogue of the invention is a transformable piece of furniture (chair-table) by ed. USSR certificate N 1466697, cl. A 47 C 7/04, 1989, which from the position of a chair (bench, sofa) can be transformed into a table, drawing board, bed.

 Such a multifunctional transformable piece of furniture contains a base with a soft seat rigidly fixed on it, a movable back, interconnected with the base at one end by means of two-link folding levers of the transformation mechanism, and the other through the armrests rotated relative to the base, with which the backrest has a rigid connection. The transformation of this piece of furniture is carried out by moving the backrest relative to the base from a vertical position (chair) to horizontal (table, bed). In the intermediate inclined position of the back, it is proposed for use as a drawing board (culman). The back of the worktop in the position of the table or kulman is supported by the elements of the transformation mechanism: on the one hand two-link folding arms, and on the other armrests. However, despite the large number of reference points, the design is unreliable due to the use of folding levers, since the main load is borne by the fastening screws of the links of the levers and when the threaded connection is loosened, failures and spontaneous transformation of the piece of furniture are possible, especially in the culmination position when the inclined position is not not fixed armrests causes instability of the design. This drawback is aggravated by the execution of a piece of furniture in the form of a sofa, i.e., with an increase in the size of the backrest, which also requires considerable muscular and time expenditures. The implementation of the transformation mechanism in the form of two two-link breaking arms together with swivel armrests complicates the design, makes it cumbersome, and causes the likelihood of failures. Thus, this piece of furniture is inconvenient in operation, its comfort is reduced, the range of its transformation is limited mainly by the “chair” and “table”, since using it as a culmination for reasons described above is undeniable, and using it as a bed is problematic for the height of the bed (the height of the base with the seat plus the length of the armrests) and the unreliability of the support. In addition, the limited functions of such an item reduces the reasonableness of the costs of its manufacture.

 This invention is directed to the creation of a universal piece of furniture with a simplified design, which has a wider than the known range of transformation and improved parameters of comfort and operational reliability, simple and economical to manufacture.

 The specified technical result is achieved due to the fact that in a multifunctional piece of furniture containing a base with a seat mounted on it, a movable back, interconnected with the base, installed with the possibility of its spatial movement, the transformation mechanism, the base is made with at least one rear upper cross member, the backrest is interconnected with the seat by means of a transformation mechanism and provided with locking elements for selectively securing to the base cross member, while the seat Credited based, with the angle of rotation fixed by and pivotally connected to the base by its front plane and subject to the transformation table furniture, a desk and a bed-easel forms an additional support for the backrest.

Additional differences are that:
the axis of rotation of the seat is the front cross member of the base;
the transformation mechanism is made in the form of two simple levers, one end pivotally mounted on the seat, and the other pivotally connected to the crawlers placed with the possibility of movement in the guides made on the back;
the base is equipped with additional retractable support frames to increase the stability of the subject and the back and a number of nests for rearranged seat restrictors, and removable soft furniture pillows, for example, foam, can be installed on top of the seat and back.

 Communication through the mechanism of transformation of a spatially movable backrest with a seat, which, in turn, is also movable (swivel), can significantly expand the range of transformation of a piece of furniture by increasing the number of variations in the relative positioning of its main elements. The use of a base cross member from one edge and the end face of a fixed seat from the other edge as a support for the back provides rigidity of the structure sufficient for reliability, eliminating its imbalance and the probability of self-transformation due to this. The achieved rigidity of the structure makes it possible to use simple, generally accessible, lightweight materials in the manufacture of its elements, for example, the base can be made tubular, in particular from aluminum tubes, and the seat and backrest can be made of plastic, aluminum sheet, wood (plywood), which greatly simplifies and its manufacture is reduced in price.

 The structural simplification of the transformation mechanism and the use of the seat as an additional support for the backrest allows minimizing the number of structural elements and links, which simplifies the design of the device as a whole and manufacturing technology, makes it reliable and convenient to use, and therefore comfortable. The achieved universality of the piece of furniture allows you to economically solve a number of problematic issues in the interior of residential and public buildings, allows you to change the interior functionally in accordance with current needs without additional costs, without the need for cluttering the interior with additional furniture.

 The base 1 can be made in any form convenient for a particular case, for example, as shown in FIG. 1, to represent two sidewalls in the form of a soft “b” sign, connected from the front plane by a cross member 2 and one or more rear upper cross members 3. On the base 1 are located the seat 4 and the back 5, interconnected with it with the possibility of relative movement, while the back 5 has the possibility of spatial (angular and linear) movement, and the seat 4 is fixed by the angle of rotation. The backrest 5 is equipped with locking elements 6, for example, elastic, spring hooks with two bends for selective fastening on one of the rear cross members 3, which, in turn, are equipped with mating elements 7, with the possibility of hard rotation around the cross member 3, for example, in the form of a ladder. The seat 4 from the side facing the base has a loop 8, with which it is pivotally mounted on the cross member 2, which serves as the axis of its rotation (Fig. 3). The seat 4 is equipped with a spring-loaded movable rod 9 fixed on it, the ends of which can be inserted into the hole of the support 10. The seat 4 and the back 5 have latches 11 at the edges, the rods of which serve as fixators for the position of the seat: when turning, they are fixed in the holes 12 of the base 1 (Fig. 4; 6).

 The seat 4 and backrest 5 are interconnected by a transformation mechanism that ensures their movement independent from each other, which allows varying the compositions of their relative position to ensure the multifunctionality of the piece of furniture.

 The transformation mechanism consists of two simple levers 13, one end pivotally with hinges 14 fixed to the seat 4 on its reverse side and provided with creepers 15 at the other end (Fig. 2). The creepers 15 on the levers 13 are hinged by means of the axes 16 (Fig. 10) and are placed with the possibility of movement in the guides 17 made on the back 5 from its back side (Fig. 2).

 Below on the base 1 by means of the clutch 18 is installed an additional retractable floor support 19 (Fig. 1 and 9), fixed by a screw 20.

 In the position of the culman, the object can be equipped with a pantograph 21 or some other drawing device (Fig. 8).

 To rigidly fix the position of the backrest 5 and seat 4 between each other, a hole is made in the latter, and a latch 11 is installed on the backrest (Fig. 1).

 For greater comfort on the back 5 and seat 4 can be installed removable soft furniture cushions, such as foam (not shown conventionally in the drawings).

 Depending on the dimensions of the back and seat chosen for reasons of necessity, the piece of furniture is installed for use in the initial form, as the most compact for the interior, as a chair (armchair) or bench (sofa). Then, as necessary, it can be easily converted to other species and vice versa.

 An explanation of the invention is given on a specific example of the execution of a piece of furniture, starting the description of its transformation from its original form - a chair, when the seat lies on the base horizontally and the backrest is vertical, while the levers 13 are located along the backrest 5 and the sliders 15 are in the middle zone of the guides 17 (Fig. 2).

 To transform a piece of furniture into a table (Fig. 4), it is first necessary to expose the latch rods 11 of the backrest 5 from the holes of the seat 4, the spring-loaded rods 9 of the holes of the supports 10, then turn the backrest 5 around the axes 16 of the cradles 15 counterclockwise until the crawlers 15 will move to the area of the hooks in the guides 17. The seat 4 is turned around the cross member 2 clockwise to a vertical position and the hooks 6 of the backrest are latched on the cross member 3 of the base 1. In this case, the levers 13 will move from a vertical position to horizontal ontal, reaching which, abutting against the edge of the guides 17, at the same time move the backrest 5 also to a horizontal position. By introducing the bolt of the latch 11 of the seat 4 into the hole 12 of the base, the transformation is completed - the piece of furniture in the form of a table is ready for use. The backrest 5, acting as a tabletop, rests at one end on the cross member 3 of the base, and its other end is supported by the end face of the turned seat 4.

 For reverse transformation, the stem of the seat 11 is removed from the hole 12, the hook 6 is removed from the upper rear cross member 3 of the base, for which the backrest 5 is moved horizontally back and the seat 4 is turned in the opposite direction to its horizontal position, while the backrest 5 is returned to its original vertical position , with a latch on the back, fix its position with the seat.

 To transform a piece of furniture into a school desk-easel, it is necessary to obtain the “table” position, and then, turning the seat 4 further clockwise, click on the latch pin 11 in the hole 12 of the base 1, obtaining the desired backrest 5 for working, which is convenient for work (Fig. 6).

To transform a piece of furniture into a bed, it is necessary: to place the latch rods 11 of the backrest 5 from the holes of the seat 4, the spring-loaded rods 9 of the holes of the supports 10, turn the backrest 5 counterclockwise to a horizontal position, resting it on the cross-beam 3, then turn the seat 4 on the cross-beam 2 clockwise 180 ^o to a horizontal position, the end of the backrest 5 with a hook 6 to hold under the rear cross member 3 and lay on the base 1, extend the support 10 until the hook 6 clicks on the support cross member (Fig. 7).

 To transform a piece of furniture into a culman, it is necessary: first to place the latch rods 11 of the backrest 5 from the holes of the seat 4, turn the backrest 5 against the axis 16 counterclockwise by a full revolution and, lifting up its end from the bottom with the hook 6, which is located below, put on the hook 6 to one or another step of the ladder 7 of the cross member 3, depending on the desired height and angle of inclination of the culman board, the ladder 7 may turn around the rear cross member 3. The seat 4 is left without movement in its original position. The levers 13 also do not change their original location due to the articulated connection with the seat and the crawlers 15, which, freely moving along the guides 17, do not interfere with the movement of the backrest 5.

 The transformation process is complete. The reverse transformation into the position of the table or chair is carried out by moving the backrest 5 in the opposite direction to that described.

 For safety reasons, you can use the sliding floor support 19, which is extended to one side or the other to balance the structure, for example, with the Kuhlmann position back (Fig. 8), table, bed, school desk, easel - forward (Fig. 4; 6; 7).

A multifunctional transformable piece of furniture containing a base with a seat mounted on it, a movable back, interconnected with a base, mounted with the possibility of its spatial movement, and a transformation mechanism, characterized in that the base is made with at least one rear upper cross member, the back is interconnected the seat by means of a transformation mechanism and is equipped with locking elements for selectively securing to the cross members of the base, while the seat is mounted on the base with the possibility of rotation being fixed at an angle and pivotally connected to the base from the side of its front plane, and when transforming a piece of furniture into a table, the school desk-easel and bed form an additional support for the back.  2. The piece of furniture according to claim 1, characterized in that the transformation mechanism is made in the form of two simple levers, one end pivotally mounted on the seat, and the other pivotally connected to the ratchets placed for movement in guides made on the back.  4. A piece of furniture according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the base is equipped with additional retractable supports.  5. A piece of furniture according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that in it, removable furniture cushions, for example, foam, are installed on top of the back and seat.
