Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the medical industry, in particular to gypsum bandages intended for the manufacture of dressings for medical purposes.
Currently, almost all medical textile materials are made from fibers imported into Russia, i.e. the textile industry of the Russian Federation is experiencing a shortage of raw materials and is working on imported raw materials. Moreover, in most cases, the purchased fiber is low-grade, and products from it do not meet medical and technical requirements.
The strategic raw material dependence of the Russian Federation on the import of imported raw materials for the production of certain medical products raises the question of the need to use domestic raw materials instead of cotton.
Flax is the national culture of Russia. Its unique hygienic and consumer properties are known. Due to the fact that cotton is purchased for import, flax becomes the main source of production of products from natural fibers.
An urgent problem is the development of a new generation of environmentally friendly flax-containing materials for medical and sanitary purposes.
а.с, СССР N 1662339, кл. A 61 L 13/04). It is known to manufacture a fixing bandage in the form of a plaster bandage on a cotton carrier. (see a.s., USSR N 1662339, class A 61 L 13/04).
However, its manufacture is limited to one type of raw material purchased, moreover, abroad.
Closest to the invention in technical essence is a gypsum bandage, non-shedding, containing a textile carrier of cotton gauze (GOST 9412-77), impregnated with gypsum.

(See TU 21 of the Ukrainian SSR 139-78 “Non-shedding gypsum bandages.” State Committee of Standards of the Council of Ministers of the USSR. Office of State Standards of the USSR. Registered 02.15.79 N 3962).
A disadvantage of the known gypsum bandage is the use of imported raw materials for its manufacture and its low biomedical properties.
The objective of the invention is the creation of a gypsum bandage that ensures the achievement of a technical result consisting in expanding the range, disposing of flaxseed waste and obtaining a high-quality gypsum bandage due to low crumbling, increased wetting speed without loss of gypsum mass, reduced sorption of microorganisms and reduced elongation.
This technical result in the proposed gypsum bandage containing a textile carrier based on natural fiber impregnated with a binder and gypsum is achieved by using flax fiber as a natural fiber or a mixture thereof with cotton or chemical fiber. The textile carrier is made in the form of a woven, or non-woven, or knitted fabric. As flax fiber, tow, flax production wastes in the form of short fiber and fumes were used. As chemical fibers used rayon or lavsan fiber.
The manufacture of plaster bandage is carried out according to the following technology. Flax fiber is subjected to mechanical shortening and thinning, chemical refinement, drying, scratching, then it is processed into yarn and non-woven fabric or mixed with cotton fiber or viscose or lavsan and processed into non-woven material or yarn using a cotton spinning system. A woven or knitted fabric is formed from yarn. The resulting woven, or non-woven, or knitted fabric is cut into bandages 3.00 m long, 0.1 - 0.2 m wide, impregnated with binder and gypsum to a surface density of 480 - 550 g / m 2 , dried and rolled up.
All operations are carried out on commercially available equipment.
The woven and knitted fabric used for the plaster bandage carrier is made of flax fiber NN 8-12 or flax production waste - short fiber NN 2-4, as well as a mixture of flax fiber containing cotton fibers up to 50 wt.%, Or a mixture of flax viscose fiber containing viscose up to 16 wt.%, or a mixture of flax lavsan fiber containing lavsan up to 7 wt.%.
The non-woven fabric is made from short flax fiber NN 2-4, return fumes of the preparation and spinning production, or mixtures of flax production waste with cotton or lavsan fiber.
In the presence of a large amount of waste, up to 30% or more, this raw material is not scarce and cheap, which contributes to the development and expansion of this production.
The proposed gypsum bandage containing a textile carrier of flax fiber or mixtures thereof is a new product that preserves and improves the properties of the known gypsum bandage containing a textile carrier of cotton fiber and has the specific properties of natural flax, which allows to expand the range of gypsum bandages manufactured in the medical industry . The invention is illustrated in examples 1 to 7 shown in the table.
As can be seen from the table, the proposed gypsum bandage in comparison with the known (prototype) is characterized by reduced crumbling of 3-5% instead of 6%, this is due to the fact that the carrier on a linen basis has a higher adhesion to gypsum than on a cotton basis, which was found research. Higher wetting speed 3 - 4 sec. instead of 5 sec. according to the prototype, shorter formation time of a stable form of 4 to 6 minutes instead of 9 minutes according to the prototype. The low elongation of the proposed gypsum bandage of 1.5% instead of 2.7% is due to the high molecular orientation of the flax fiber cellulose and contributes to better fixation of the bandage on the human body, and also prevents gypsum from shedding from the carrier.
The number of microorganisms on the surface of the gypsum bandage in contact with human skin is 9000 - 18000 conventional units instead of 22,000 conventional units, it is explained by the fact that flax limits sorption and contributes to the inhibition of the vital activity of microorganisms, due to the fact that it has a higher rate of moisture sorption from the surface of the human skin under the dressing and faster transfer of moisture to the outer surface of the dressing, which creates more comfortable conditions for such a bandage, improves hygienic properties, does not cause irritation of the skin.
The proposed gypsum bandage possessing a complex of highly hygienic, biomedical and physico-mechanical properties is an environmentally friendly and safe product. It also has increased utility for humans, as eliminates the negative effects on the human body caused by microorganisms, manifested during its use.
The proposed gypsum bandage leads to the expansion of the assortment, the efficient utilization of flaxseed waste and the need to increase its production on domestic raw materials.
The need for this product for the Russian Federation is at least 10,000,000 pcs. in year.
