Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the technology of heap leaching of gold-bearing ores, in particular to heap leaching of gold from clay ores with a content of not more than 20% fines minus 0.15 mm
[1]. A known method of extracting gold from ore by heap leaching, adopted as a prototype, according to which the ore is crushed, the crushed ore is treated with Portland cement (3.5-5 kg / t), water is added to the ore moisture of 9-13% and fed to a conical shape (stacked in a heap). Ore pelletization occurs when it is fed onto a conical shaped stack and the pieces are rolled off the sides. Then the ore is stacked. Gold is leached from the stack with a cyanide solution, gold is extracted from the solution by sorption on coal [1].
The disadvantage of this method is the high consumption of cement.
The task is to reduce cement consumption while maintaining technological indicators.
This is achieved by the fact that in the method of extracting gold from clay ores using heap leaching technology, including crushing, treating crushed ore with cement, water, pelletizing, stacking ore, leaching gold from the stack and extracting gold from the solution, according to the invention, initially crushed ore treated with water and pelletized, and then treated with cement and pelletized again.
Due to the fact that in the proposed method, crushed ore is initially treated with water and pelletized, it is already supplied in the form of lumps for cement processing and secondary pelletizing, and less cement is required for their strengthening and hardening, because the processed surface has decreased, in contrast to the known methods, when the ore is initially treated with cement, and then the ore is moistened or when the binder is supplied in the form of a solution.
Thus, the set of essential features will ensure the implementation of the objectives of the invention, because the consumption of cement for gold extraction will decrease, while the possibility of achieving a technical result does not follow from the prior art, which allows us to conclude that the claimed technical solution meets the criterion of "inventive step".
An example of the method
The proposed method was tested in semi-industrial conditions in the summer period on the ore of the Sakhsarskoye field, mined by open pit mining.
Ore was transported 1 km to the heap leaching site.
Ore (with a gold content of 3.1 g / t, fines minus 0.15 mm 15%) was crushed in alkaline and cone crushers to a particle size minus 20 mm. Water was added to the conveyor at the place of unloading the cone crusher with a nozzle to an ore moisture of 10-14%. The angle of inclination, the length of the tape, the speed of its movement were chosen so that the ore had time to form lumps before storage (before feeding it to a conical shape stack). Then, Portland cement of grade 500 was supplied to the conveyor at the place of its unloading at the rate of 2.0; 2.5; 3.0; 3.5; 4.0; 5.0 and when unloading the conveyor on a conical shape, the stack when rolling lumps treated with cement from the sides rolls up and hardens them (secondary pelletizing). Then the ore was kept for 2 days, loaded into a plastic column 3 m high, simulating stacking in a stack (heap), and still stood for 2 days. Gold was leached from the ore in the column by a cyanide solution with a NaCN concentration of 1 g / l, pH 10.5, and the flow rate of the solution was 175-200 l / m 2 days. Leaching lasted for 24 days. Gold from the productive solutions was extracted using the known technology for zinc chips. The recovery was 73.8; 76.4; 76.4; 76.3; 76.3; 76.4 respectively cement consumption.
In the method according to the prototype, in contrast to the proposed method, Portland cement was supplied to the conveyor at the place of unloading of the cone crusher at the rate of 3.5; 4.0; 5.0 kg / t, then water was added to a moisture content of 14% and ore pelletizing occurred during storage (feeding it on a conical shape stack when rolling pieces from the sides). The recovery was 70.1; 74.8; 76.4 respectively cement consumption.
Thus, the proposed method in comparison with the prototype provides, with equivalent technological indicators, a reduction in cement consumption from 5.0 to 2.5 kg / t.
This method will find application in the ores of the Sakhsar ore zone of the May deposit, the ores of the Kuranakh ore field and deposits of Yakutia and other deposits of Russia, for which the heap leaching method is applicable.
