The invention relates to a technology for the preparation and storage of seed, food and feed grain by processing using propionic acid.
18 - 19). A known method of processing grain before laying for storage, providing for its processing in the stream with a sprayed solution of propionic acid (Roslyakov Yu.F., Kislyak AA, Progressive technology for storing wet rice grain // International Scientific and Technical Conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Moscow The food industry of Russia on the threshold of the XXI century. Scientific and engineering support of food and processing industries of the agro-industrial complex. "Abstracts. Part 1. - M .: MGAPP, 1996, p. 18 - 19).
The disadvantage of this method is the high consumption of preservative.
The technical result of the invention is to reduce the consumption of preservative by increasing the monodispersity of the spray and increasing the processing efficiency and shelf life of grain.
This result is achieved by the fact that in the method of processing grain before storing for storage, providing for its processing in the stream with a sprayed solution of propionic acid, according to the invention, the solution is prepared directly in the processing by separate ultrasonic spraying of water and propionic acid into the grain stream while applying static electrical charges of opposite potentials.
This allows you to reduce the consumption of preservative by increasing the monodispersity of the spray and increase the efficiency of processing and thereby increase the shelf life of grain.
The method is regulated as follows.
A flow of grain in the form of falling rain is created in the contact device and at the same time ultrasound is sprayed into it with water and propionic acid in a predetermined ratio while simultaneously applying static electric charges of opposite potentials to them, for example, by applying a high DC voltage to the working bodies of ultrasonic nebulizers. Under the action of ultrasound, dispersion of liquid media occurs, enhanced by electrostatic interactions that reduce surface tension and increase dispersion dispersion while eliminating coagulation of the same charged drops of each of the components of the preservative - water and propionic acid. This leads to the creation of charged flows of water droplets and propionic acid having a dispersion of 0.1 - 0.3 μm, which is not achievable with any of the known methods of spraying liquids. Uniform mixing of water and propionic acid in the aerosol stream or on the surface of the grains is provided by electrostatic interactions of charged droplets, or grains that take charge from the charged droplets deposited on them. The combination of oppositely charged particles and the dissolution of propionic acid in water are accompanied by the release of heat, under the influence of which part of the preservative passes into the vapor phase and displaces air from the grain stream. Vapors in contact with grains partially condense on their surface with the release of phase transition heat. As a result, the surface microflora of grain is exposed to the simultaneous action of acid, ultrasound, heat, and electrostatic charges under anaerobic conditions. This leads to the complete destruction of microflora on the grain, including acid-resistant, such as spore forms of mold fungi of the genera Aspergillus and Penicillium, at a lower preservative expense. At the same time, the guaranteed complete destruction of all forms and types of microflora in the absence of secondary contamination during storage allows to increase the shelf life of processed grain.
