Известный стоматологический наконечник (см. авт. св. N 1409253, кл. А 61 С 1/10, 1986), содержащий съемный корпус, полый приводной валик с продольной прорезью, размещенный в корпусе по его оси, тягу, один конец которого связан с приводом, а другой имеет подпружиненный толкатель со сквозным наклонным каналом, узел фиксации режущего инструмента (бора) выполнен в виде коромысла, на одном конце которого расположена вилка, охватывающая кольцевую канавку режущего инструмента (бора), а на другом конце наклонный хвостовик, установленный в канале (прорези) толкателя. Основными недостатками известного наконечника являются:
недостаточная устойчивость фиксации режущего инструмента (бора);
наличие шумов при работе наконечника;
не предупреждается возможность заражения пациента инфекционными заболеваниями, в том числе вирусом СПИДа, ввиду отсутствия соответствующей защиты корпуса;

Технический результат достигается за счет применения в УСН-03 узла устойчивой фиксации режущего инструмента (бора), представляющего собой борштангу с осевым отверстием для режущего инструмента, охватывающим его хвостовик по всей длине за исключением кольцевой канавки, опорной площадкой под лыску бора и вилкой коромысла; за счет применения толкателя, имеющего крышку-панцирь, закрывающую полость борштанги, что снижает шум и обеспечивает баланс масс, а также за счет применения в УСН-03 узла контакта с приводом, состоящего из навинченной на борштангу втулки, в осевом отверстии которой перемещается подпружиненная вилка, и стакана, ввинченного в корпус наконечника, обеспечивающих контакт УСН-03 с известными типами приводов.
