Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to dentistry, and can be used in the treatment and prevention of the initial stages of dental caries.
A known method for the treatment and prevention of dental caries, including irradiation of the dentition with the following parameters: wavelength 0.63 μm, continuous generation, power 0.05-0.1 W, exposure 60 s,
The disadvantages of this method include the relatively shallow penetration of laser light into the depth of tissues (3-5 mm) due to the use of light from a galium-neon laser. Moreover, the loss of coherent properties adversely affects the therapeutic effect. To implement the method requires bulky equipment. In addition, the disadvantages of this method include the high cost of time for the implementation of medical procedures.
The objective of the invention is to eliminate the above disadvantages of the known method to ensure its effective use in the implementation of the proposed method.
This is achieved in the known method, including irradiating the dentition with laser light, using pulsed light for irradiating pulsed arsenide-galium laser with a wavelength of 0.85-0.98 μm, a frequency of 0.04-0.5 kHz, power 0.5-1 , 5 W and an exposure of 60-120 s.
A study was conducted that included the treatment and prevention of caries of a group of school-age children (74 people) using pulsed light from an arsenide-galium laser with a wavelength of 0.85-0.98, a frequency of 0.04-1.5 kHz, and a power of 0, 5-1.5 W, exposure 60-120 s, 8-14 procedures per course. Treatment and prevention of caries in another (comparative) group of school-age children (numbering 68 people) was carried out using a helium-neon laser according to the technique published in the source [1]
For irradiation of teeth in the studied groups of children used semiconductor laser devices "Pattern", "Optodan", with a wavelength of 0.85-0.89 microns, modified by a number of parameters as applied to research tasks.
To obtain the required quality and reduce the time of procedures, irradiation of the dentition was carried out using flexible optical fibers with arched tips at the output, providing simultaneous irradiation of the dentition on the upper and lower jaws.
In the process of research on laser installations, the following order of work was observed: we checked compliance with safety regulations (grounding, protective devices, etc.), turned on the laser unit at least 15 minutes before the start of the procedure, checked the power meter and time switch, set up on operating parameters and carried out therapeutic and preventive procedures, irradiating a patient who is in a dental chair in a reclining state (or on a medical couch), adjusting, if necessary, the parameters of the manhole polar radiation.
Statistical processing of the obtained experimental data showed that a useful result can be obtained only if all the conditions of the method described above are met.
The experimental results are presented in the table.
П р и м е р 1.
