Abstract

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: this device for fixing animal's extremities incorporates tongs which include rods 1 and 2 interconnected by hinge 3. Rod 1 has rectilinear portions, include passage 4, and bent portions 5. Animal's extremity fixing member is made in the form of rope 7 passed through passage 4 of rod 1 and has flexible coating 6 disposed inside bent portions. Method of using disclosed device prescribes setting rods 1 and 2 apart, positioning bent portions 5 on animal's extremity, drawing rods 1 and 2 together by exerting pressure on handle 14, turning clamp 12 disposed on axle 11 by means of handgrip 13 to enable clamp 2 to grip rod 2. Turning handgrip 13 makes lever 10 revolve together with axle 11 and thus causes rope to stretch out and press animal's extremities disposed in bent portions 5 against rod 2 to rigidly fix these in position. Устройство для фиксации конечностей животного включает щипцы, состоящие из стержней 1 и 2 (фиг.1, фиг.2), соединенных посредством шарнира 3. Стержень 1 состоит из прямолинейных участков, в которых выполнен канал 4 (фиг.3, фиг.4) и изгибов 5 (фиг.1, фиг 2). На внутренней поверхности стержня 2 закреплена эластичная прокладка 6. Фиксирующий элемент конечностей выполнен в виде каната 7, расположенного в канале 4 стержня 1, с эластичным покрытием 8, расположенным в изгибах 5. При этом эластичное покрытие 8 свободно посажено на канат 7 и может перемещаться относительно последнего в пределах изгибов 5. A DEVICE FOR FIXING ANIMAL EXTREMITIES, including forceps, consisting of pivotally connected rods with a clamp and fixing elements in the form of bends of one of the said rods, the vertices of which are facing outward from the clamping plane of the forceps, characterized in that the straight sections of the rod having bends are made hollow, and the fixing elements are provided with an additional clip made in the form of a rope, pierced through the cavities of the said straight sections, while the parts of the rope located in the bends are equipped with enes elastic coating.
