Abstract
Description
The invention relates to glass compositions for the production of fiberglass, which can be used for the manufacture of fiberglass and fiberglass products operating in neutral and acidic aggressive environments.
SiO2 60-64; B2O3 4,5-8,0; Al2O3 3-5,5; Fe2O3 0-0,5; CaO 7-12; MgO 0-2; Na2O 14-16; K2O 0-2,5. Known glass [1] containing (wt.) SiO 2 60-64; B 2 O 3 4.5-8.0; Al 2 O 3 3-5.5; Fe 2 O 3 0-0.5; CaO 7-12; MgO 0-2; Na 2 O 14-16; K 2 O 0-2.5. This glass is intended for the production of fiberglass by blowing and in connection with this, its technological properties (viscosity, crystallization ability) make it difficult to form a continuous fiber (narrow molding interval of 60 ° C). In addition, with a high content of alkali metal oxides with satisfactory acid resistance, the fiber is not sufficiently resistant to the aquatic environment, which limits the scope.
Closest to the technical nature of the claimed invention is glass (2) of the following composition, wt. SiO 2 65.0; B 2 O 3 6.0; Al 2 O 3 4.0; Fe 2 O 3 0.2; CaO 14.0; MgO 3.0; Na 2 O 8.0; SO 3 0.1 (typ. C). This glass refers to the composition of chemically resistant glasses that can be used for chemical products.
The disadvantage of this glass is the small interval of continuous fiber production at a high crystallization rate, which does not allow to obtain a stable process of fiber formation on industrial equipment.
The aim of the present invention is to provide a stable process of fiber formation from glass, which, with increased acid resistance, has sufficient stability in an aqueous medium.
Ni2O3 0,01-0,1.According to the invention, the goal is achieved in that the glass composition, including SiO 2 , B 2 O 3 , Al 2 O 3 , CaO, MgO, Na 2 O, additionally contains Co 2 O 3 and / or Ni 2 O 3 , in the following ratio components, wt. SiO 2 64-67; B 2 O 3 1.0-6.0; Al 2 O 3 4.0-6.0; Fe 2 O 3 0.1-0.6; CaO 5.0-13.0; MgO 0.1-4.0; Na 2 O 9.0-14.0; Co 2 O 3 and / or Ni 2 O 3 0.01-0.1.
Comparative analysis with the prototype allows us to conclude that the claimed composition of the glass differs in the introduction of new components, namely cobalt oxide (Co 2 O 3 ) and / or Ni 2 O 3 nickel oxide) as fluxes.
The invention is as follows. Silica sand, boric acid (or calcium borate), alumina (or feldspar), dolomite, chalk, soda ash, cobalt oxide and / or nickel are used as raw materials for glass melting. The melting point is 1400-1500 о С, the clarification temperature is 1450-1500 о С. The melting time depends on the furnace design, the amount of charge, and the quality of the heat carrier. Glass fiber is produced from glass melt by a single-stage method or by a two-stage melting process in glass melters of preformed glass beads. The temperature of fiber production 1800-1220 about C.
Specific examples of glass compositions and their properties are given in the table.
The table shows that for the production of glass fibers suitable examples 1-6, in which the generation interval is 70-135 ° C, and Examples 7-8 do not allow for generating a narrow range to obtain a stable spinning process on the industrial equipment. In addition, the
The technical and economic efficiency of the invention consists in a significant improvement of technological properties (decrease in crystallization ability and increase in the temperature range of glass fiber production) with increased acid resistance and satisfactory water resistance of the fiber.
The use of the present invention allows to obtain a stable process for forming continuous fiber on industrial equipment. Fiberglass is suitable for the manufacture of fiberglass and fiberglass products operating in neutral and acidic aggressive environments.
