Mycobacterium leprae. A method for modeling leprosy for studying the antileprosy activity of drugs, characterized in that the leprosy model, which involves the introduction of an infectious material containing Mycobacterium leprae into the hind leg of a laboratory animal, is reproduced on two lines of mice - immunocompetent (CBA) and immunodeficient (Balb/c Nude), which allows to evaluate both the antimycobacterial effect of the used therapy regimen, taking into account the contribution of the host's immune system, and the direct bactericidal or bacteriostatic effect of drugs against Mycobacterium leprae.
