Способ рентгенофлуоресцентной сортировки руд сложного вещественного состава, включающий облучение потока кусков рентгеновскими или гамма-квантами, регистрации спектра вторичного рассеянного и характеристического излучения от куска и обработку спектра по алгоритму в две стадии, на первой стадии обработки спектра, определение сортировочно-технологического типа каждого рудного куска в сортируемом сырье путем выполнения их анализа, и последующей, на второй стадии, покусковой рентгенофлуоресцентной сепарации по алгоритму разделения, адаптированному для сортировки конкретного сортировчно-технологического типа куска, отличающийся тем, что покусковую сортировку выполняют в одну стадию на основе анализа вторичного спектра от конкретного куска, при этом вначале, устанавливается соответствие спектра конкретному сортировчно-технологическому типу, выбирается соответствующий алгоритм разделения, и далее, обработкой спектра по соответствующему алгоритму вычисляется разделительный параметр, по величине которого определяют принадлежность куска к одному из продуктов сортировки, и присоединяют к соответствующему продукту.1.
