Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of chemical technology and can be used in the production of anion exchange resins, which are used to remove colored organic compounds from natural water (humic acids), from various hydrolysates of chemical and microbiological origin.
A known method of producing ion sorbent by condensation of metaphenylenediamine, resorcinol and formaldehyde in a hydrochloric acid medium in the presence of a large amount of water. Ionosorbent has good sorption ability to colored organic compounds, but has insufficient mechanical strength, there is no true porosity, and a decrease in humidity during storage leads to a deterioration in quality.
To impart porosity, increase the mechanical strength of the sorbent and its capacity for organic colored compounds, a method for producing the sorbent by condensation of phenol and formaldehyde in ethylene glycol medium at pH 7-8 is proposed. In the second stage of the process, an aliphatic amine containing primary amino groups is introduced. Having good porosity (0.4-1.2 cm 3 / g), the sorbent provides a high sorption capacity under static conditions (0.7-1.5 mg / ml). When tested in dynamic conditions, the sorbent shows an insufficient implementation of the capacity determined in static conditions.
The closest to the claimed one is a method for producing anion exchangers on which are co-condensation of phenol, hexamethylenetetramine, formaldehyde aqueous solution at 90-95 ° C in sulfuric acid in two steps. In the first stage, condensation is carried out at a molar ratio of phenol: formaldehyde: hexamethylenetetramine: sulfuric acid: mineral salt: water = 0.095-1: (1.75-1.8) :( 0.37-0.38) :( 0.60 -0.63) :( 0.35-0.65): (8.0-8.5) for 2 hours; in the second stage, the molar acid content is increased to 1.90-1.95. Sodium or potassium chlorides are used as the mineral salt. To prevent stratification of the reaction mass (into aqueous and organic layers), they resort to a triple increase in acidity.
The anion exchange resin obtained in this way has a low porosity of 0.2-0.3 cm 3 / g, which cannot be increased by this method. Insufficient anion exchange capacity for humic substances (0.6 mg / ml) with insufficient chemical resistance. When washing with commercial water, a solution is obtained containing sulfuric acid, sodium or potassium chloride, formaldehyde, ammonium sulfate. Such a solution is almost impossible to return to the technological cycle. Evaporation regeneration allows one to obtain a solution containing sulfuric acid, sodium or potassium sulfate, ammonium sulfate. Such a solution cannot be reused. In addition, water condensate is obtained containing hydrochloric acid, methylamine. This condensate can only be reused 1-2 times.
The aim of the invention is to increase the porosity of the sorbent, chemical resistance in contact with solutions and its capacity for organic substances of a humic nature and other colored compounds). Additionally, an important goal is achieved - the creation of non-waste production.
This goal is achieved by the fact that phenol, hexamethylenetetramine, formaldehyde are subjected to condensation in a sulfate medium at an elevated temperature in the presence of a blowing agent. As the blowing agent is ethylene glycol, the condensation is carried out at a temperature of 60-75 ° C, and the formaldehyde used in the form of low molecular weight formaldehyde polymers - paraformaldehyde or trioxane. Condensation is carried out at a lower relative acidity of the medium in one stage with the following molar ratio phenol: formaldehyde: hexamethylenetetramine: sulfuric acid: ethylene glycol = 1: (0.6-2.0): (0.06-0.24) :( 0, 6-1.9) :( 3.8-5.7), moreover, to ensure non-waste technological process, ethylene glycol and sulfuric acid are extracted from the finished resin with water and after evaporation of the resulting solution is returned to the process.
The invention is illustrated by the following examples.
