Способ получения тонкорунных овец, включающий скрещивание племенных овцематок забайкальской тонкорунной породы с племенными баранами-производителями тонкорунных пород, отличающийся тем, что полученных двухпородных маток с 1/2 долей генов забайкальской тонкорунной породы и 1/2 долями генов австралийской породы скрещивают с производителями породы манычский меринос, затем, полученных племенных маток (1/4 ЗТ+1/4 АМ+1/2 ММ), с целью улучшения качественных показателей тонкой шерсти и повышения мясной продуктивности, спаривают с чистопородными племенными производителями породы манычский меринос до получения трехпородных племенных овец следующей кровности: 1/8 забайкальская + 1/8 австралийский меринос + 3/4 манычский меринос.
