Способ получения порошковой формы сорбента, отличающийся тем, что гель метилкремниевой кислоты подвергают дополнительной термической обработке при температуре от приблизительно 120°C и до приблизительно 360°C до содержания остаточной влаги не более 2% с последующей механической обработкой на измельчителе до получения содержащихся в продукте частиц до заданного уровня, предпочтительно до уровня 10-200 мкм, обеспечивающих насыпную плотность не менее 0,319 г/мл.2.
