Плазменный генератор тормозного излучения, содержащий микроволновой резонатор, помещенный в магнитостатическое поле пробочной конфигурации с малым пробочным отношением и возбуждаемый от сверхвысокочастотного генератора, отличающийся тем, что на микроволновом резонаторе, в межполюсном пространстве электромагнита размещены импульсные магнитные катушки, к резонатору подключен импульсный газовый клапан, обеспечивающий формирование мощной газовой струи, направленной в область формирования сгустка ускоренных электронов, а вне зоны нагрева в резонаторе установлена твердотельная мишень малых линейных размеров.
