1. Соль 2-этил-6-метил-3-гидроксипиридина с никотиновой кислотой формулы (1) ! ! обладающая гипогликемической, гиполипидемической и нейропротекторной активностью. ! 2. Способ получения соединения формулы (1) по п.1, включающий взаимодействие 2-этил-6-метил-3-гидроксипиридина с никотиновой кислотой в среде растворителя при перемешивании реагентов и кипячении с последующей отгонкой растворителя и перекристаллизацией выпавшего целевого продукта. ! 3. Способ коррекции метаболических нарушений при сахарном диабете с экзогенной гиперхолестеринемией, включая коррекцию дислипидемических нарушений и гипергликемии, заключающийся в том, что вначале моделируют экспериментальный сахарный диабет однократным внутрибрюшинным введением аллоксана в дозе 135 мг/кг, через 14 сут после моделирования лабораторным животным в течение 14 дней вводят один раз в день перорально масляную суспензию холестерина из расчета 40 мг/кг, предварительно растворив в 0,5 мл растительного масла с добавлением витамина Д в дозе 12500 ЕД/кг, и внутримышечно соль 2-этил-6-метил-3-гидроксипиридина с никотиновой кислотой в дозе 50 мг/кг. ! 4.
