Способ определения содержания пиролизата в табачном сырье, включающий измельчение, просеивание через сито и отбор фракции сырья, отбор пробы, размещение пробы на решетку кварцевой трубки разъемной трубчатой печи, сжигание пробы в печи при постоянной подаче воздуха, сбор пиролизата на предварительно взвешенный стекловолокнистый фильтр, высушивание фильтра с последующим взвешиванием, оценку результата, отличающийся тем, что определяют содержание пиролизата не только в табаке, но и в табачном сырье, отобранную фракцию сырья предварительно кондиционируют для достижения влажности измельченного табака 11-13%, отбирают пробу постоянного веса 500 мг, сжигают пробу в печи при температуре 550-560°С и со скоростью воздуха 280-290 мл/мин в один этап продолжительностью 10 мин, сбор пиролизата от сжигания одной пробы осуществляют на один фильтр, затем фильтр высушивают в сушильном шкафу при температуре 35°С в течение 10 мин, а о содержании пиролизата судят по количеству продуктов пиролиза на грамм сгоревшего табачного сырья, которое определяют по формуле !
