A method of twisting wafer cups from dough with a high sugar content, consisting in the fact that a hot continuous ribbon of baked dough is cut with rotating knives into pancakes-blanks of individual portions, which are fed into a stationary matrix and twisted with a conical mandrel punch with a spherical bottom having the configuration the inner cavity of the wafer cup to be made. 2. A device for the production of wafer cups from dough with a high sugar content by twisting pancakes-blanks on a rotating conical mandrel punch with a spherical bottom, consisting of rotating knives for cutting a continuous test tape into portioned pancakes-blanks of a given geometric shape, a pancake pancake feeding mechanism , a punch-mandrel forming a twisted cup by translational and rotational motion in a fixed matrix and pulling out a twisted cup from the matrix in its image in the course.
