МКИ A24D 1/18 (ОИ, 1990, №24, стр. 262-263) выполнено в форме сигареты и содержит полый корпус с мундштуком, имеющим канал с выпускным отверстием, пробку из топливного элемента, подложку и наполнитель из несущего аэрозоль материала, а также порцию табака в мундштуке. Однако, данное устройство не получило массового распространения в силу следующих его недостатков: технология изготовления достаточно сложна, несущий аэрозоль материал не является общеупотребительным, не всем курильщикам положительно показан аэрозоль, в том числе из-за дискомфорта, вызываемого его специфическим вкусом.Various means are known for simulating an aerosol-based smoking process.
