A method of arranging an energy production installation for underground coal burning based on the conversion of thermal energy from underground burning into electrical energy, characterized in that the combustion is carried out at a pressure of 6-8 atm. and directly use the energy of the combustion products to ensure the operation of a surface gas turbine, while at the border of a large coal seam by the method of rod drilling, two wells are formed at a distance of 5-6 meters from each other with a diameter of 2 dm at the mouth and 1 dm at the bottom, TNT blocks are placed in the charging chambers formed in the bottom and blown up with the help of electric detonators, forming a common ovoid chamber adjacent to the coal seam, then casing pipes are introduced into the wells for air inlet and removal of combustion products at the same time, in the lower part of the air supply pipe, a nozzle directed towards the combustion side, self-removing under the influence of air pressure, is installed, inside which a pyrotechnic composition for primary ignition of coal is placed, after the combustion of which the air passage to the combustion center is completely freed; in the above-ground part, a gas turbine, an electric generator, an air compressor and a starting cylinder with compressed air are placed to remove the nozzle and set fire to coal, and the combustion products under pressure of 6-8 atm. sent directly to the gas turbine blades with a capacity of up to 60,000 kW, and combustion air is supplied at a pressure of about 10 atm. using an air compressor driven through a gearbox from a gas turbine, while electrical energy for consumers is obtained from an electric generator driven by a gas turbine.
