The utility model relates to the field of experimental biology and pharmacology, namely to devices that can be used to assess the "acute" toxicity of biologically active compounds in small laboratory animals - mice.
Conducting toxicological studies is necessary to evaluate any biologically active substances, in particular, this is a mandatory section of studies of potential drugs. Such studies make it possible to establish a hazard class in accordance with GOST, the nature and severity of the damaging effect of biologically active substances on the body of experimental animals, to identify organs and body systems sensitive to the effect of the factor under study, and to study the reversibility of the damage caused. Particularly informative in assessing "acute" toxicity are the first hours after exposure to the investigated factor.

Execution example.
The indicators of "acute" toxicity of the compound were determined under the code ITM-5 by the express method according to V.B. Prozorovsky on 8 outbred male mice weighing 24-27 g (Figure 3). This device made it possible to minimize the number of animals to determine the value of LD 50 - the average effective dose that causes the death of 50% of the individuals in the study group.
To carry out the experiment, a device was made of organic glass - polymethyl methacrylate with five compartments (Fig. 2 a, b, c, d, e). The
