Description
The technical solution relates to the field of solar energy, in particular to concentrator solar photovoltaic modules used in terrestrial solar energy systems intended for autonomous energy supply systems, as one of the most promising methods for generating electricity from renewable sources. The use of adjustable secondary optical concentrators of solar radiation allows to obtain a higher efficiency of conversion of solar radiation into electricity while simplifying the assembly of the optical system and increasing its technical characteristics.
A photovoltaic concentrator module is known from the prior art (see patent US 2009223555 (A1), IPC H01L 31/042, published September 10, 2009) comprising a metal frame, a plurality of Fresnel lenses, a secondary reflective or refractive concentrator, multi-junction solar cells with an efficiency up to 40% and new heat dissipating material.
Fresnel lenses and a secondary concentrator focus on the sun more than 500 times to maximize the number of photons collected using solar cells and convert electricity. The newly developed lightweight board material provides a coefficient of thermal expansion suitable for the solar cell carrier and an efficient electrical connection method. The carrier board is attached to a specially designed graphite heat distributor. Composed of 40% by mass fraction of aluminum and 18% of copper, this specially developed material has a thermal conductivity that is superior to copper. The above combination creates photovoltaic modules with the highest efficiency and low cost per watt.
The disadvantages of the known hub module are the complexity of the installation of solar cells and secondary optical elements.
A known solar module (see patent US 2015349179 (A1), IPC H01L 31/054; H01L 31/18, published 03.12.2015), consisting of a solar cell and a transparent secondary optical element located above the photodetector surface of the chip.
The outer surface of the secondary optical element has a convex shape, facilitating the ingress of solar radiation on the chip. Around the light receiving surface there are adjustment elements consisting of two discs with marks. They serve to regulate the position of the optical element relative to the photodetector surface of the solar chip. The first quotation element is offset from the second to increase the efficiency of the concentration of solar radiation on the solar chip.
The disadvantages of the known concentrator solar photovoltaic module are the relatively high cost of secondary optics from optical glass and the technical complexity of the optical alignment, which must be performed for each chip with secondary optics separately for all four mounting points. In addition, in this design, it is necessary to adhere secondary optical glass concentrators to the surface of solar photocells, which ultimately degrades the optical efficiency of the system and the heat removal from them.
The closest analogue to the prototype closest to the claimed technical solution for the combination of essential features is a solar concentrator module, (see patent RU 2611693. IPC H01L 31/054, publ. 02.28.2017), which contains side walls, a front panel with Fresnel lenses , a back panel with foci and solar cells equipped with heat sinks. The heat-removing bases attach the solar cells to the back of the rear panel so that the center of the photodetector area of each solar cell lies on the same axis as the center of the corresponding Fresnel lens and coincides with the focus of this lens. The solar concentrator module has increased energy efficiency and improved disorientation performance.
The disadvantages of the known solar photovoltaic module is the fixed mounting of secondary optics, that is, secondary optical concentrators above the surface of solar cells without the possibility of adjusting the height of the front outlet opening above the surface of the solar cell.
The objective of the proposed technical solution was the development of a concentrator photovoltaic module with adjustable secondary optics, characterized by ease of installation and adjustment of the foci above the photocell, increased reliability of construction and long-term operation, simplified manufacturing technology of its elements, also having high technical and economic indicators and high efficiency of converting solar radiation into electricity.
The problem is solved in that the concentrator photoelectric module with adjustable secondary optics contains a Fresnel lens with a focal length of 280 ± 80 mm, made in the form of a square with a side of 150 ± 30 mm, the optical axis of which passes through the center of the photocell, and above it on two supports, coaxial to the optical axis of the system, a secondary optical element is installed, made in the form of a hollow inverted truncated pyramid with a height of 30 ± 15 mm with internal mirror surfaces, the front entrance of the pyramid is made in the form of a square with a side size of 30 ± 15 mm, and the outlet of the pyramid is made in the form square with a side size of 5.3 ± 0.1 mm. The photocell itself with a photoactive area size of 5.5 * 5.5 mm is soldered to the board with lead-free or some other solder, which is then attached to the aluminum base of the module with a heat-conducting paste or heat-conducting adhesive. In this case, the supports extend 0.55 ± 0.45 mm beyond the bottom plane of the board and fix the board in the mounting holes of the lower base so that the optical axis of the Fresnel lens coincides with the center of the photoactive region of the photocell. Due to the thread on the upper part of the special supports, using the nuts on which the focus is supported, a predetermined distance is set from the plane of the output of the focus to the surface of the photocell, which can be changed within 0.55 ± 0.45 mm depending on the focus of the Fresnel lens.
Compared with the prototype, the use of fasteners for secondary optical elements is new in the design of the concentrator photovoltaic module with adjustable secondary optics, which allows for smooth adjustment of the secondary optical element in contrast to the prototype.
In this design, by fixing the position of the focon relative to the board, and the board relative to the heat sink base, the requirements for the accuracy of the installation of secondary concentrators with boards are maintained and the assembly process of the module and the manufacturing technology of its elements are greatly simplified.
Also, due to the presence of gaps between the photocells and focons, the heat removal from them is improved by natural convection of air inside the module when heated in the sun.
Also, the use of large 120 * 120 mm primary concentrators (Fresnel lenses), while maintaining the optimal concentration of sunlight, can reduce the number of assembly operations of a concentrator photovoltaic module of the same power by four times than when using, for example, 60 * Fresnel lenses 60 mm.
The focus of the concentrator photovoltaic module with adjustable secondary optics can be made of anodized aluminum sheet with a thickness of 0.25 to 0.5 mm with a mirror-reflecting inner surface. The reflection coefficient of the mirror-reflecting inner surface of the focon should be at least 87% on average in the visible range of the solar spectrum.
The optical element of the secondary concentrator can be installed in such a way that the focus is attached to the circuit board with a photocell so that the output base of the truncated pyramid of the focus is at a distance of 0.55 ± 0.45 mm from the photoactive surface of the photocell.
The output base of the optical element of the secondary concentrator should be made in the form of a square with a size smaller than the size of the photoactive surface of the photocell 5.5 * 5.5 mm, namely with a side of 5.4 mm with an accuracy of 0.1 mm.
The board of the concentrator photoelectric module with adjustable secondary optics can be made of a multilayer copper / aluminum / immersion gold structure, and the board thickness is set in the range 0.2 ... 0.8 mm.
The primary optical concentrator was made in the form of a square Fresnel lens with side sizes from 120 mm to 180 mm glued to tempered glass of optical quality with a thickness of 3 to 4.2 mm. The sizes of the focone were obtained experimentally.
The technical result provided by the given set of features is to improve the disorientation characteristics of the module in the hub-tracker system while simplifying the assembly technology of the photovoltaic module, improving the heat removal from the photocell and reducing the cost of its manufacture.
The design of the inventive photoelectric concentrator module with adjustable secondary optics is illustrated by drawings, where:
FIG. 1 schematically shows a photoelectric concentrator module with adjustable secondary optics, in which an optical element of a secondary optical concentrator in the form of a truncated pyramid at a predetermined height above the photosensitive surface of the photocell is installed between the Fresnel lens and the circuit board with a photocell.
Figure 2 schematically shows a secondary optical element mounted on a board. The focus is mounted directly on the board using two bushings inserted and fixed by glue in two holes in the board area. There is no conductive copper coating in the board near the holes, which eliminates the possibility of a short circuit between the conductive coating on the aluminum base of the board and the base of the module.

When the inventive photoelectric concentrator module with adjustable secondary optics improves the uniformity of the intensity of concentrated solar radiation on the surface of the photoactive region of
