The prior art bait device (patent GB2160082 (A) from 1985-12-18) is made in the form of a cell formed by a plurality of elongated elements connected at both ends. The cell is usually convex and formed at one or both ends by means for attaching to the fishing line, and also contains a lead weight (sinker) in the head.

Closest to the claimed technical solution is a cage for loose bait (patent JP2011062188 (A) from 2011-03-31), which consists of a wire and has a sinker in the head of the device, as well as a fishing hook attached to it.

The disadvantages of these technical solutions are that the known devices are designed for bottom bait, for which they contain a sinker in the head, as well as the implementation of the device form, which is not intended to hold inside the bait in the form of a ball.

The task to which the claimed utility model is directed is to develop a design for a device for spreading bait, allowing for complementary feeding of fish, including complementary foods in hard-to-reach places.

This problem is solved in that the claimed device for casting bait for fish, consists of a basket with a suspension made of wire, also contains a float in the head of the device, while the basket is made convex outward ellipsoid, where the diameter of the middle part of the basket is larger than the diameter of the inlet into her.

The technical result provided by the given set of features is to ensure the retention of complementary foods in the form of a ball in the device during casting and its easy removal from the device.

The device relates to amateur and sport fishing, and in particular to devices for the delivery of fishing bait to the point of fishing. This device is designed for bait in the shape of a ball.

The device consists of a basket 1 and a float 2. The entire frame is made of wire, which provides minimal hydraulic resistance in air and in water and reduces windage during casting. The frame contains a basket 1 and a suspension 3. The basket is made convex outward ellipsoid in shape, while the diameter of the middle part of the basket is larger than the diameter of the inlet into it. This shape of the basket allows you to steadily hold the ball of bait inside the basket when it is cast. A float 2 is attached to the head of the device. The structural elements of the basket 1 directly enter the body of the float 2 and are fixed in it with glue. The presence in the head of the product of an element with a low specific gravity (float 2) ensures that the basket 1 tilts when lowered into the water and thereby releases the bait ball from it, as well as the overall positive buoyancy of the entire device. The device also has a suspension 3 connected to the basket for attaching the fishing line, which gives the entire structure in flight an oriented position (float forward), which also prevents the ball from falling out. The gimbal 3 has an eyelet, for which it is convenient to fasten the fishing line, which also allows you to follow a predetermined flight path.

The wire is made mainly of spring wire according to GOST 9389-75 with a diameter of 0.5 and 0.8 mm. The float is made of foam.

Due to the significantly smaller total surface area, this design has a small hydraulic resistance, which makes it easier, further and more accurate to cast bait with it, as well as with less resistance to wind the fishing line when removing the feeder from the water after casting.

An additional advantage (which in principle is not possessed by any kind of analogues): in case of unsuccessful (inaccurate) casting, the angler can immediately select (wind) the fishing line back - in this case, the feeder does not have time to tip over and the bait ball returns to the angler for a second attempt (in practice this in some cases is extremely important for successful fishing - so that all balls hit one point).

The device operates as follows.

A ball of bait is placed inside the trough. The bait feeder is thrown to the fishing point. After splashdown, a pause of two seconds is made, during which the feeder capsizes and the ball falls out of it. The line is reeled up and the feeder is removed from the water. If you do not pause, the ball returns to the angler for re-casting.
