Abstract
The invention relates to the field of construction, in particular to devices for walking on a flat roof, structurally associated with the roof. The declared roofing walkway is designed to ensure safe and comfortable walking access to the roof surface under any weather conditions when mounting the roofing membrane and its subsequent operation. The roof walkway contains rectangular plates equipped with connecting nodes, with fins on the outside of the rectangular plates arranged in a chevron order, with the ribs made with a non-uniform surface structure forming a rough rel eph on the upper face of the ribs. The heterogeneous surface structure on the ribs on the outside of the roofing walkway plates contributes to the formation of a rough relief, in particular, in the form of protrusions or spikes, or notches, or stripes, or asterisks, or geometric figures, or recesses, or mesh structures, or lint, or smooth ascents and descents, or influxes, or as a combination of the listed relief forms. The technical result is an increase in the anti-slip effect between the surface of the fins placed on the outside of the roof plates footpath, and the soles of shoes with positive and negative ambient temperatures, combined with various atmospheric phenomena.

The level of technology.
From the description of US patent No. 9828778, IPC: E04D13 / 12, publ. 11.28.2017 A roof footpath is known to be placed on a flat roof to protect the roofing membrane from walking on it by the staff and from damage when moving tools and / or equipment. The track contains an external wear-resistant part and a lining, as well as a compensator for thermal expansion of the track construction details.
The disadvantage of the design of this track and other similar variants of roofing tracks presented on the market of roofing materials is the insufficient anti-slip effect from slipping the sole of the shoe when moving along it under adverse weather conditions.
From the description of the French patent №2964985, IPC: E04D13 / 12, published. 06/14/2013, a rectangular roofing footpath is known, the outer surface of which is made with anti-skid effect. To do this, a rigid metal plate with anti-slip spherical projections made on its outer surface is installed on the support plate (4) made of elastomer. However, under negative temperatures, metal surfaces become very slippery. The relief formed by smooth protrusions of a spherical shape cannot provide a sufficient anti-slip effect, especially in winter.
From the description of the application for the grant of a US patent No. 2012040124, IPC: E04D13 / 12, published February 16, 2012, a multilayer composite material is known for manufacturing, in particular, roofing walkways, consisting of a working layer based on polyolefin (TPO) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and the lower reinforcing layer with mineral filler. The working layer is made with a deep relief in the form of a three-dimensional embossing, forming a pattern of rectangular edges, arranged in a chevron order by a Christmas tree. According to the description of the patent, this multilayer composite material provides the three-dimensional stability of the embossed production layer at high temperatures. However, at negative temperatures, the smooth surface of the ribs, arranged in a chevron order, does not provide reliable protection for pedestrians from slipping.
The closest analogue of the claimed technical solution is a roofing footpath, known from the RF patent for invention No. 2615580, IPC: E04D 13/12, published. 04/05/2017. The mentioned pedestrian roofing path consists of rectangular plates provided with connecting nodes, each rectangular plate is a field with edges evenly spaced in chevron order and placed along the edges of the field with side stripes with through vertical holes, moreover, on the inner side of the plates a network of mutually orthogonal drainage channels communicating at its ends with through vertical holes is made. In this case, the angle of inclination between the edges of the adjacent chevron rows is from 90 to 120 degrees, and the cross-section of the edges is made in the form of a trapezium. As an option, the roofing walkway can be equipped with a heat cable located under the track along its longitudinal axis. In this construction of a roofing path, the ribs, arranged in a chevron order, predominantly perform a drainage function and are little involved in the creation of an anti-slip effect.
The disadvantage of the roofing walkway, chosen for the prototype, is the smooth surface of the upper edge of the ribs, since the cross section of the ribs is made in the form of a trapezoid, and the upper flat edges of the ribs occupy a significant part of the outer surface of the path. Thus, the anti-slip effect between the surface of the ribs and the soles of the shoes is low, and especially it decreases when it rains or at negative ambient temperatures combined with snow and ice.
The development of the claimed utility model is aimed at solving the problem of protecting the roofing membrane during operation from mechanical damage, and at improving the safety of personnel moving over the membrane waterproofing surface, for example, to ventilation devices and other technical structures located on the roof of a building or structure.
The technical result is to increase the anti-slip effect between the surface of the ribs placed on the outer side of the roofing walkway plates, and the soles of the shoes at positive and negative ambient temperatures, combined with various atmospheric phenomena.
To solve this problem, a roofing pedestrian walkway is declared, containing rectangular plates provided with connecting nodes, while on the outside of the rectangular plates there are fins arranged in a chevron order. These edges are made with a non-uniform surface structure.
The ribs, placed on the outside of the rectangular plates, are preferably made with a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape, while the non-uniform surface structure forms a rough relief on the upper edge of the ribs.
The ribs placed on the outer side of the rectangular plates can be made with a rectangular cross-sectional shape, while the non-uniform surface structure forms a rough relief on the upper edge of the ribs.
The above-mentioned non-uniform surface structure forms on the edges a rough relief in the area corresponding to the area of potential contact of the edges with the soles of the shoe, which makes up from 5% to 80% of the surface area of the outer side of the roofing walkway.
The heterogeneous surface structure forms on the edges a rough relief in the form of geometric figures in the form of protrusions or spikes, or notches, or strips, or asterisks, or recesses, or mesh structures, or smooth ascents and descents, or influxes, or as a combination of the listed relief forms .
The stated roofing walkway is made with a heterogeneous surface structure on the ribs, which forms a rough relief on them, in particular, made in the form of a coating using particles of abrasive material, or - pile.
In the claimed roofing walkway construction, the ribs on the surface of the plate can be made of the same height or of different height.
In a preferred embodiment, the declared roofing walkway comprises a rectangular plate, which is provided with side strips placed at the edges on opposite sides of the plate, while the side strips are made with through holes arranged vertically. The side strips can be made with cast channels, U-shaped, located along the side strips with outlets from the top and bottom edges of the plate.
Figure 9 shows a general view of a rectangular roofing walkway plate, on the front end of which it is shown that the side strips are made with cast-U-shaped channels located along the side strips.
As shown in fig. 1 roof walkway is a rectangular plate (1) of polymeric materials, equipped with connecting nodes (2), with each rectangular plate on the outer side provided with ribs (3) arranged in chevron order, made with inhomogeneities of the structure on its surface.
Docking units (2) are made in the form of two semicircular protrusions on the upper connecting edge of the plate (1) and two response semicircular hollows on the lower connecting edge of the plate (1), which form the spike-groove connecting connection between adjacent plates. Docking units (2) allow you to connect an unlimited number of plates. The assembled roofing walkway usually consists of such a number of plates that provides the necessary routes for the staff on the roofing membrane of the building.
(5).The rectangular plate (1) of the roof walkway is provided with side strips (4), made with through holes (5), arranged vertically while on the inner side of the plate (1) drainage channels (not shown in the drawing) are connected to the through vertical holes ( five).
The special structure of the working surface of the ribs (3), made on the outer side of the plate (1) of the roofing footpath, as compared with the existing analogues, allows to increase the friction force arising between this surface and the bottom of the pedestrian’s foot touching each other. that is achieved by applying to the surface of the edges (3) artificial inhomogeneities, which are shown in Figures 2-7 and can be made in the form of asterisks, various polygons, stripes, scratches, spherical Sgiach or point protrusions zigzag or other shapes.
The rectangular plate (1) of the walking path on the outside is characterized by a working field with ribs of trapezoidal or other cross section located on it, the upper surface of which is provided with the aforementioned artificial inhomogeneities forming a rough relief on the upper edge of the ribs and creating a number of physical effects that increase the friction coefficient. Surface irregularities form on a small part of the total surface of a roofing walkway, being located only on those parts of the fins that have direct contact with the sole. This solution is unique and allows, in comparison with other anti-skid systems, to provide an improvement in the required characteristics, making minimal changes in the surface geometry, ranging from 5% to 80% of the total surface area, while maintaining the weight and size characteristics of the material almost unchanged, which is critically important for calculation of the ultimate mechanical loads on the supporting structures. At the same time, as shown in Figures 2-8, inhomogeneities can have the most diverse geometrical shape on the surface of the ribs of a deep embossed texture. Additional changes can be made to the deep embossed texture of the track surface, as shown in fig. 8, because the ribs (3) can be made unequal in height with rough relief of the upper edge of the ribs, which will improve the anti-slip properties of the track surface.
In one of the embodiments of the claimed utility model shown in (Fig. 9), the declared roofing walkway containing a rectangular plate can be provided with side strips made of two cast channels (6) of U-shape, arranged along both side strips, with outlets from the top and bottom edges of the plate.
The roofing walkway plate is also provided with two welded lobes, which are visible in Figs. 1 and 9 as a continuation of the
When installing the roofing walkway, the rectangular plates (1) of the walkway are laid along the entire length of the straight section. Using the docking stations (2) in the form of semicircular protrusions and semicircular hollows, forming two docking grooves between the adjacent plates (1), they align all the plates (1) with each other in a straight line. After that, with the help of welded petals and a manual welding machine, temporary fixation of the adjacent elements of the plates (1) of the roofing walkway is carried out among themselves. As a result of the installation, a single composite structure is obtained with smooth transitions between the
Next, using side smooth strips (4) along each plate (1) of the track, on which there are no ribs (3) and a network of drainage channels, and using a self-propelled automatic welding machine, the straight section of the walkway is welded to the roofing membrane.
The self-propelled welding machine is installed at the beginning of the straight track section and after setting the welding temperature to the weather conditions and type of membrane in semi-automatic mode, the welding process is started along one side of the track. As a result of this procedure, a weld is formed with a width up to 100 mm from one of the sides of the track. This procedure must be repeated from the second side of the track.
Work roofing walkway is as follows.
When the ambient temperature is above 0 ° C without the effect of precipitation, the footpath serves as a load balancer on the roofing membrane, in its physical properties approaching the characteristics of the membrane itself, while having increased wear resistance and durability. Due to the greater thickness of the material and increased rigidity, compared with membrane coatings, the walking path allows maintenance of technical facilities and the roofing membrane without damaging the latter.
(5). When operating in the rain due to the structure of the working surface with the edges (3) of the roofing walkway, water is removed from its surface. The angle of the ribs (3) is 90 - 120 ° relative to each other of the adjacent chevron rows, which leads to the formation of clearly defined drainage channels from the longitudinal axis of the track to its edges. For water drainage from under the walkway, its back side is provided with a network of drainage channels and through vertical holes (5).
When operating a pedestrian walkway in difficult climatic conditions, the following options are possible:
When the ambient temperature is below 0 ° C, the properties of the footpath are similar to those of the roofing membrane, but due to the greater thickness of the material from which the footpath is made, compared to the membrane, the effect of increased resistance to mechanical effects of piercing and cutting character is achieved.
Before using the track in case of abundant precipitation, it is necessary to carry out mechanical cleaning using a hand tool, which is done with a brush, broom or plastic shovel with rounded corners (metal shovels are not allowed). With the help of the aforementioned tool it is necessary to clean the surface of the track from the snow masses. When using a shovel, clean up to the edges of the field with the ribs, then with a broom or brush, clean the ribs for the entire length of their protrusion from the track surface. In the presence of a specialized mechanized tool can be mechanized cleaning track.
The presence of a non-uniform surface structure in the form of geometric shapes that form a rough relief on the upper face of the ribs (3) leads to the following physical effects.
1. Increasing the contact area of rubbing materials. The presence of a rough relief on the surface of the ribs, depending on the configuration, significantly increases the contact surface, while maintaining the overall geometrical dimensions of the product itself unchanged, or almost unchanged. In this case, the magnitude of the area change is determined solely by the non-uniform surface structure and the number of the roughness of the relief. These changes lead to an increase in friction force.
2. The increase in the time of the impact of friction on friction materials. Due to the fact that the walking geometry of a person has a complex and multidirectional structure, caused by a large number of degrees of freedom in the joints, the presence of a rough relief between the rubbing surfaces of the sole and the edges of the roof walkway increases the contact time of materials, reducing the likelihood of slippage at the moment of complete separation legs and partial detachment of the second, when the person moves the center of gravity in the process of walking.
3. Distribution of friction force in different directions. In view of the complex geometry of a person’s pitch structure, as mentioned above, the presence of a rough relief between the rubbing surfaces allows at some stages of the pitch to distribute the friction force in different directions. Since the force of friction is always directed against the direction of motion, in the presence of a smooth surface there is only one point of its application. In the presence of a rough relief with the same movement of points of contact there will be several and relative to each of them the movement may have a different direction. This phenomenon allows to increase the total effect of friction.
4. The redistribution of loads between the force of static friction and the force of sliding friction. The presence of a rough relief on the surface of the ribs creates a point of local abutment of rubbing materials, leaving the sole stationary around itself until the moment of its complete separation. As is known, the static friction force exceeds the sliding friction force observed at the points of contact of friction materials without discontinuities.
All of the above leads to the conclusion that the presence of local geometric inhomogeneities that form a rough relief on the upper edge of the ribs, which form part of the total working surface of the product, leads to a significant improvement in the anti-slip characteristics of the entire product.
To confirm this fact, an experiment was conducted in the laboratory to determine the limiting angle of sliding of two rubbing materials, the essence of which is as follows:
On a flat inclined surface, the angle of inclination of which to the horizontal can vary and is set on the basis of the experiment's task, the test surface is mechanically fixed, which is the roofing walkway. For the experiment, two versions of the track were selected: with a smooth working surface of the ribs and with a rough surface of the specified edges. A sample of the material is placed on top of the test coating, the friction force of which against the test sample must be evaluated. As such a sample, a shoe sole made of PVC composite and vulcanized rubber was used. Next, the plane with the sample fixed on it begins to lift the track beyond the free, not fixed to the table, playing the role of a horizontal surface, the end, thereby changing the angle of the surface with respect to the horizontal. At the moment when the sample of the sole begins to slide off the surface of the roofing walkway, the angle of the surface with respect to the horizontal is measured. The experiment is repeated many times, and the rms value of the angle of inclination serves as an estimate of the friction force. At first, the experiment was carried out with a roofing pedestrian walkway, the edges of which had a smooth working surface, then the experiment was repeated, with a roofing walkway with a non-uniform surface structure, made on the edges, on which a convex pattern (stars, zigzags) was applied, forming a rough relief.
The experiment showed that the root-mean-square value of the angle of inclination of the surface with the sample of the roofing walkway under investigation with a heterogeneous surface structure made on the upper surface of the ribs exceeds the root-mean-square value of the angle of inclination of the track by about 30%, which can be considered a significant improvement anti-slip properties.
