Известно приспособление, предохраняющее обувь от забрызгивания (патент РФ № 2038814, МПК А43В 21/22, 1995г.). Известное приспособление используется при изготовлении каблука обуви, при котором вдоль задней наружной поверхности каблука размещен выступ из эластичного прочного материала, боковые поверхности которого прямолинейны и расположены относительно друг друга в виде ласточкина хвоста, а на наружной поверхности выступа вьшолнена продольная выемка. На стенке козырька, примьпсающей к задней наружной поверхности каблука, образован продольный паз с прямолинейными боковыми сторонами. Поперечное сечение паза также имеет форму ласточкиного хвоста.
