Description
The utility model relates to the field of nuclear energy, relates, in particular, to the designs of irradiating devices for nuclear reactors and can be used to irradiate targets with lutetium or another substance to produce radioactive isotopes used in the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and therapy in medicine.
The main tasks of the design and development of irradiation devices for nuclear reactors are to ensure that the risk of the release of radionuclides into the reactor coolant is eliminated; acceleration and facilitation of the assembly, disassembly, transportation of the irradiation device; facilitating the process of disassembling and transporting the irradiated target.
Currently, various irradiation devices are widely used to irradiate starting materials in nuclear reactors (V. A. Tsykanov, B. V. Samsonov “Irradiation Technique in High Neutron Flux Reactors. M., Atomizdat, 1993.). Almost all of them contain targets — airtight containers with target irradiated materials placed in shells to eliminate the risk of radionuclides entering the reactor coolant.
Known ampoule of the irradiation device of a nuclear reactor (RF patent No. 2342716, published December 27, 2008). The ampoule consists of a body and two covers welded to it. The ampoule is filled with cobalt-59 tablets and zirconium alloy spacers in the form of spring rings. Springs are installed in the nests of the ampoule roof to press the spacers against the tablets in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the ampoule. This ampoule of an irradiation device is designed to irradiate the target material, compressed in the form of tablets, does not have an internal container, which increases the risk of radionuclides entering the reactor coolant. In addition, the extraction of irradiated material from the ampoule requires an additional cutting tool, which, in conditions of a high level of ionizing radiation, increases the complexity and cost of work.
2-3%.Known target for the accumulation of Mo-99 (RF patent for utility model No. 141375, published 06/10/2014), containing a shell, core and end caps. The end caps contain cylindrical cavities, and the shell is crimped onto the core until it comes into contact with it, and the target contains an annular groove on the surface of the seat of the plugs in the shell, which is performed before welding. The objective of this technical solution is to increase the efficiency and reliability of the target when it is irradiated in the core of a nuclear reactor. To solve this problem, a Mo-99 accumulation target is used, containing a shell, a solid core and end caps, while the end caps contain cylindrical cavities, and the shell is tightly seated core before contact with it. The presence of cylindrical cavities increases the reliability of the target since allows you to create the necessary free volume inside the target, which at the stage of its manufacture, is sequentially evacuated and filled with helium. The presence of helium allows you to control the tightness of the product by mass spectrometric method in full. Providing conditions for the removal of heat from the core heated by irradiation in the core of the nuclear reactor by tightly fitting the shell onto the core increases the target's performance by improving the thermal characteristics. On the surface of the seat of the plugs in the shell there is an annular groove, performed before welding. The presence of this groove allows during the welding process to displace part of the molten metal of the weld root into it along with oxide films. This effect allows to increase the continuity of the compound, its quality and reduce the amount of marriage to 2-3%.
A disadvantage of the known devices selected as analogues of this utility model is the need for additional installations and operations for the extraction of irradiated material. As a result, the time for obtaining finished products after irradiation increases, which is critical for short-lived isotopes.
The objective of this utility model is to create a device devoid of these disadvantages.
The technical result is to accelerate the process of opening the target after irradiation and extraction of the quartz ampoule, as well as ensuring the opening of the target without the help of a cutting tool.
The specified technical result is achieved by creating a target for the accumulation of the lutetium-177 isotope containing a shell of an aluminum alloy of tubular section with a quartz ampule placed inside it, containing lutetium-176 nitrate powder deposited on the ampule walls, sealed by welding. In this case, the shell of aluminum alloy is a cylindrical cup with a seat for the end cylindrical plug, the outer surface of the base of which is made with a cylindrical tip, a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shell in which there is a transverse hole, and the inner surface of the base is round or conical to An end cylindrical plug with a cylindrical tip with a diameter smaller than the diameter of the shell in which Xia transverse bore, wherein on the outer and inner surface of the cylindrical cup, below the seat there are annular plugs grooves disposed opposite one another and having a depth equal to a quarter of the cylindrical cup wall thickness.
The essence of the claimed utility model is illustrated by graphic material, FIG. 1. The target consists of a shell of
Ring grooves on the outer and inner surfaces of the cylindrical cup, below the seat of the plug, located opposite each other and having a depth equal to a quarter of the wall thickness of the cylindrical cup, provide the process of opening the target after irradiation. After irradiation, the target shell material becomes more fragile, which makes it possible to break the cylindrical glass along the annular grooves and extract the ampoule.
In this case, the autopsy can be carried out using manipulators.
Cylindrical tips with shell holes and plugs are used to assemble targets in an irradiating device (Fig. 2), consisting of 2 or
As a result of the irradiation program of the proposed target, the lutetium-176 isotope is converted to the lutetium-177 isotope. The whole process takes place in a sealed quartz ampoule and a sealed aluminum shell, which eliminates the risk of radionuclides entering the reactor coolant.
Thus, the utility model accelerates the process of opening the target and extracting the quartz ampoule, and also provides the opening of the target without the help of a cutting tool.
