Abstract

The invention relates to sanitary hydrobiology and fisheries and can be used to assess the quality of water and the sanitary condition of water bodies. The purpose of the invention is simplification while maintaining accuracy. The goal is achieved by taking samples of the studied water, determining the number of ciliates and rotifers in them, calculating the ratio of the obtained values and, at ratios of 0-1.5, 1.5-2.0, 2.0 or more, the studied water or a zone of a reservoir are evaluated as toxic, oligotrophic and eutrophic, respectively. 1 tab.

Description

V. : .// ;. i :. -. -. -... ..; - ..; ..;:: The purpose of the invention is simplification while maintaining accuracy.

The goal is achieved in that in a method for assessing the quality of water and the sanitary condition of water bodies, including sampling, determining the number of hydrobionts in them and assessing them by the obtained indicators, a distinctive feature is that only the ciliates are determined; and rotifers and with ratios of the obtained values equal to 0-1.5; 1.5-2.0; 2.0 or more, the test water or the zone of the reservoir is evaluated, respectively, as toxic, oligotrophic and eutrophic.

The following is an example implementation of the new method.

: ; . ::: . Example. Five bays of Lake Ladoga were investigated. Two of them - Sortavalsky and Pitk Rentsky - receive wastewater discharges from cities, factories of the food and pulp and paper industries. The third (Suksu Nlahti Bay) has no pollution sources on its banks, but is located between the first two in their immediate vicinity. The fourth bay (Yakimvarsky) - deep-sea, open. The house is a small non-industrial town. The bay is not subject to constant anthropogenic pressure. :; . :::.

The results are presented in the table where the assessment of water quality c takes place. areas of Lake Ladoga.

The data in the table show that the Kurkyyok and Yakimvar districts are oligogrophic, the Syuksyunlakhtsky region is mesotrophic, and the Pitk - Rantsky and Sortavelsky regions are eutrophic, which indicates the high accuracy of the new method. Moreover, since it is only necessary to determine the number of ciliates and rotifers in the selected water sample, the implementation of the method is greatly simplified.
