The invention relates to an agricultural tool and can be used to prune tree branches and shrubs.

Secateurs are known that comprise articulated cutting and opposing knives with spring-loaded handles. In order to increase labor productivity, some secateurs are equipped with devices that provide optimal opening of knives, taking into account the prevailing diameter of the branches to be trimmed.

The closest to the claimed object in terms of its technical nature and positive effect are manual scissors. The design of these scissors, providing the possibility of moving the elastic element relative to the axis of the hinge device, can significantly reduce energy consumption when trimming branches.

One of the drawbacks of the above construction is that rearrangement of the brackets together with the elastic element is practically not feasible when the length and limits of opening the handle of the secateurs are designed to grip with the palm and fingers of one hand.

The aim of the invention is to increase the efficiency of use of the sector by providing the undercut of the knives necessary for the particular operating conditions. For this, the adjusting device is made in the form of a flat frame with a longitudinal window. One end of the frame is pivotally mounted on one of the knives, and the other end is bent and provided with an adjusting screw. On another knife, an emphasis is mounted under the adjusting screw, located inside the window of a flat frame.
