Such devices are also used to display prices for goods or services.

The proposed utility model is a device for displaying prices (discounts), which allows to implement the function of constantly changing real-time prices (discounts) for goods and services sold. At each point in time for a product, service, a price (discount) is calculated, calculated for a given point in time.

To implement this function in one embodiment, the proposed utility model has the ability to enter data on the basis of which the current price or current discount on a product or service can be calculated for each point in time during the sale period. The proposed device can be implemented as follows. It includes an information input device, an information storage and processing device — a control unit, a display device (board, display). Using the input device, data is entered on the basis of which the current price or the current discount on the product, service for each point in time during the sale period can be calculated. Such data may include:

initial price - the price of the goods at the time the sale begins;

final price - the price of the goods at the time the sale ends;

initial discount - a discount on the goods at the time the sale begins;

final discount - a discount on the goods at the time of the end of the sale;

sales period - the period during which the sale is carried out;

step of change - the amount by which the price or discount changes, for one calculation interval;

calculation interval - an indicator that reflects the frequency of calculation of the current price (for example, 1 second, 30 seconds, etc.).

Data is stored in the memory of the control unit. The control unit incorporates a timer (clock). Based on the input data and the timer data, the control unit, using the specified algorithm, calculates the current price with a frequency equal to the calculation interval. The calculation interval can be obtained from the entered data, or predefined in the memory of the control unit. Or it can be obtained by calculation on the basis of other data entered, for example as follows:

calculation interval = period of sale / ((starting price - final price) / step of change)

To calculate the current price (discount), any algorithm can be used to make such a calculation. The algorithm may be, for example, the following:

current interval = number of seconds since the start of sales / calculation interval

If the calculation interval is 1 second, then the current interval will be equal to the number of seconds elapsed since the start of the sale. The price change step can be obtained both from the input data and by calculation

current price = initial price + (step of change × current interval)

change step = (final price - initial price) / (sale period / calculation interval)

The control unit displays the current price on the display panel, display or monitor screen, where other information can also be displayed, for example, the initial and final price (discount), the end time of sales, the quantity of goods (services) available for sale, the quantity of goods (services) sold and etc.

On one device for displaying prices, price or discount information can be displayed for several goods or services at the same time.
