Полезная модель относится к мебели, а, именно, к мебели, используемой для установки на ней бытовой техники, с возможностью убирания ее в стол в периоды ее неиспользования. Такой стол может быть использован для установки на нем телевизора, микроволновой печи, кофемашины, швейной машины, которые, при использовании по назначению, поднимаются на уровень столешницы стола, а в период неиспользования опускаются внутрь стола, а отверстие в столешнице закрывается панелью, образуя плоскую поверхность. Технический результат заявляемой полезной модели - упрощение и удешевление механизма для изменения положения платформы в столе для бытовой техники. Заявляемый технический результат достигается тем, что стол для бытовой техники содержит столешницу с вырезом, боковые стенки, снабженные на внутренних сторонах направляющими, между которых размещена поперечная балка с установленными на ней системой роликов с огибающим их тросиком, средства фиксации положения платформы с бытовой техникой, ручка управления фиксаторами и исполнительный орган, выполненный в виде газовой пружины. Газовая пружина одним концом закреплена на поперечной балке, а другой ее конец снабжен роликом, через который запасован тросик, закрепленный своими концами на направляющих и огибающий два других ролика, закрепленных на поперечной балке.
