Abstract
The device relates to antenna technology and can be used in radio communication systems, as well as in systems for measuring field strength and power flows. Известна биконическая антенна (Volakis John L. Antenna engineering handbook / John L. Volakis. - 4-е изд., - New York; London; Toronto: McGraw-Hill Education, 2007. - 4th ed., - New York; London; Toronto: McGraw-Hill Education, 2007 .-- chap. 48, pp. 48-4, Fig. 48.1), selected as a prototype (Fig. 1), made in the form of two volumetric
The prototype device operates as follows.
When a signal is fed through the coaxial cable of the RF signal, due to electromagnetic coupling between the power cable and
The disadvantages of the prototype antenna are not wide enough operating frequency band (the upper cutoff frequency takes a value less than desired), unsatisfactory radiation pattern at high frequencies.
The objective of the proposed device is to expand the operating frequency band, improve the radiation pattern, namely lowering the level of the side lobes of the diagram.
The technical result of this utility model is a wider range of operating frequencies up to an increase in the frequency band per octave, an improved standing wave coefficient (VSWR) and improved directional properties.
The technical result is achieved in that in a biconical antenna filled with a material with a variable dielectric constant, containing a supply coaxial cable, consisting of a braid and a central core, connected to conical metal radiating surfaces in such a way that the central core has electrical contact with the first conical radiator, and braid - with a second conical radiator, according to a utility model, a lens divided into blocks is introduced into the space between the conical radiators of material having the dielectric constant greater than the unit closer to the direction perpendicular to the axis of the antenna; in this case, two coaxial conical recesses are made in the dielectric lens, respectively conjugated with conical metal radiating surfaces.
In FIG. 1 shows a diagram of a prototype device.
In FIG. 2 presents a diagram of the claimed device.
The proposed biconical antenna filled with a material with a variable dielectric constant contains two
The proposed antenna operates as follows.
When the signal is fed through the coaxial cable of the RF signal, due to the electromagnetic coupling between the power cable and the
By compensating for the difference in the path of the rays in the aperture of the antenna by introducing into the space between the conical radiators a lens consisting of blocks with different dielectric constants, the working frequency band increases and the diagram in the band improves. The dielectric constant is selected so that the time of propagation of the beam in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the cones is equal to the time in any of the directions of propagation. A positive effect will be achieved if the dielectric constant of the blocks located in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the cones is the greatest. The value of the dielectric constant of the block should be the smaller, the larger the angle between the perpendicular to the axis of the cones and the block.
Thus, in comparison with the prototype, the proposed antenna has a wider range of operating frequencies (before increasing the frequency band by an octave), an improved standing wave coefficient (VSWR) and improved directional properties.
