Double-sided adhesive tape is used as a replacement for traditional fasteners, screws, welding and glues, thanks to a lighter and more durable connection that does not create point stress concentrations.

Bilateral adhesive tapes are also widespread in construction, for example, when performing paintwork, when it is necessary to prevent the ingress of paint and varnish material onto surfaces not intended for painting. To ensure the manufacturability of the use of such a tape in the manufacturing process and / or winding in rolls, a double-sided adhesive tape is duplicated with a gasket having low adhesion to it.

Before painting, the side not protected by the gasket, the tape is glued to the surface to be protected around its perimeter, then the gasket is removed and a protective sheet, such as a polymer film, is glued to the released adhesive layer of the second side of the tape. Working with such a tape is associated with significant disadvantages:

- in the process, significant amounts of waste are generated in the form of used gaskets, which is harmful to the environment;

- additional technological operations are required to remove the gasket, as well as to clean the room before performing work;

- increases the duration and cost of work.

The designs and materials of adhesive tapes continue to improve due to their relevance in many areas of human activity.

The use of such a tape during paintwork or fixing works is not technological and does not eliminate the disadvantages listed in the introductory part.

The closest analogue of the proposed utility model is a double-sided hardened pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, consisting of a film - the base, a hardenable pressure-sensitive first adhesive layer - on one side surface, and also a hardened pressure-sensitive second adhesive layer - on the other side surface, providing when applying under pressure the first adhesive layer on the first substrate and the second adhesive layer on the second substrate, easy separation from the first substrate, but strong bond with a second substrate [Application JP 2002146300 (A) publ. 05/22/2002].

The disadvantages of the double-sided hardened pressure-sensitive adhesive tape are also associated with the need to use gaskets to protect one of the adhesive layers.

The objective of the proposed utility model is to develop the design of double-sided adhesive tape, increasing the manufacturability and efficiency of its use.

The solution to this problem is achieved by the fact that in a double-sided adhesive tape comprising a base and adhesive-sensitive adhesive compositions applied thereto, adhesive compositions are applied in stripes on the front and back sides of the base in such a way that the projections of the strips on the base plane do not overlap.

The proposed design of double-sided adhesive tape allows you to abandon the use of gaskets between the layers of tape when winding it into a roll and subsequent use, which reduces the cost of manufacturing the tape and the amount of waste, as well as increases convenience and reduces the number of operations when performing work.

the bond strength of strip 2 with the base 1 exceeded the bond strength of strip 2 with the surface to be protected, and the latter exceeded the bond strength of strip 4 with a protective sheet;

upon separation, the double-sided adhesive tape did not damage the protected surface and did not leave any marks on it;

the bond strength of strip 4 with the protective sheet made it possible to separate the protective sheet from strip 4 without damaging the protective sheet and base 1.

Before painting, the protective cloth is cut off or bent around the perimeter of the surface to be protected and paint work is performed. After their implementation, the protective sheet is removed (peeled off), and then the double-sided adhesive tape, which, if adhesive properties are maintained, can be wound into a roll or folded into bags and reused. Thus, in comparison with the prototype, the consumption of materials, the amount of waste is significantly reduced, the manufacturability is increased, and the terms of the work are reduced.

Example 2

When performing decorative finishing work on the wall surface, it is necessary to firmly fix the decorative panel.

A double-sided adhesive tape with a metal-polymer decorative base 1 is selected, which has the condition of equal adhesion to the wall and the decorative panel having two strips 2 and one stripe 4 of the same adhesive composition. The width of each strip 2 is equal to the width of strip 4. The double-sided adhesive tape is glued to the wall in the form of a decorative panel, for example strip 2, and pressed by hand, roller or other device from the back side 5 of the base 1 to ensure a strong connection. In this case, the strip 4 should pass along the edge of the perimeter of the decorative panel, but not go beyond it. Then, the decorative panel is superimposed and pressed onto the strip 4 in such a way that the protruding part of the decorative base 1 forms a frame for the decorative panel.

Thus, the claimed utility model saves materials, reduces the time of work and the amount of waste, increases the manufacturability of the work and can be effectively used in a wide range of works in many sectors of human activity.
