A useful model related to the accessories of the Orthodox ritual ceremony of burial and is intended to cover the body of the deceased.

This is achieved by the fact that the ritual bedspread is made in the form of a knitted fabric with a pattern that includes a border, an ornament located along the border and an image of religious symbolism in the central section inside the ornament, the pattern being formed by tight knitting sections against the background of sparse knitting sections.

The density of knitting of dense sections can be, and sparse sections - at least 15.

The image of religious symbolism is an Orthodox cross, and the pattern may additionally include an image of a temple or a face, or figures.

In addition, in the finished form, the knitted fabric has lateral edges, and the ends of the fabric can be knitted not blooming when cutting the roll into bedspreads. The areas of sparse knitting that form the background may include multiple images of crosses (elements of religious symbolism).

The ritual bedspread is a multi-ribbed knitted fabric 1 of a rectangular shape, made on a jacquard warp knitting machine.

The jacquard weave of the threads forms patterns in the knitwear made in the form of sections of the fabric with a dense and varying degree of viscous tenacity. The pattern consists of a border 2, located along the border of the ornament 3, for example, floral or otherwise, and the image of religious symbols in the central part inside the ornament. Religious symbolism includes an image of 4 Orthodox crosses made by a section of a dense-knit fabric located inside a more sparse area. This element determines the narrow functional purpose of the product - use in a funeral ritual.

The entire construction of the bedspread around the cross is made in the form of all kinds of combinations and alternations of sections of dense (65h-70 loops per 50 mm of canvas) and sparse (at least 15 loops per 50 mm of canvas) knitting, forming a pattern. The increased density of knitting creates a bright white clear, contrasting pattern, gives the fabric strength and resistance to stretching.

Bedspreads are made in the form of a single cloth (roll), which is cut into separate bedspreads. In the finished form, the bedspread has saved working lateral edges. Knitting technology allows you to perform the product so that when cutting the roll into bedspreads, the ends of the product do not open. This eliminates the need for further processing of the product.

The claimed utility model can be mass-produced in mass production using modern equipment.

A ritual bedspread containing a knitted fabric with a pattern including a border, an ornament located along the border and an image of religious symbols in the central section inside the ornament, the pattern being formed by tight knitting against the background of sparse knitting.  2. The bedspread according to claim 1, characterized in that the density of knitting of dense sections is 65-70, and sparse sections - not less than 15.  3. The bedspread according to claim 3, characterized in that the pattern further includes an image of the temple, or the face, or figures, or flowers on the central section of the canvas under the cross. 5. The bedspread according to any one of paragraphs. 1-4, characterized in that in the finished form the web has side edges, and the ends of the web are knitted not blooming when cutting the roll from the covers.
