The utility model relates to the field of printing, and specifically to the production of printed newspaper and magazine publications with printed modules suitable for the manufacture of hand-made miniature books from newspaper and magazine clippings for their further rational storage and use.

BACKGROUND

Various design solutions are known for prints with print modules (printing blocks), books from print modules, and methods for making books from print modules, however, all print modules are initially published either as separate printouts or as book prints inside prints to convert them later manual methods of binding into books of one or another format, books consisting of notebooks assembled from several folded sheets stitched on the spine, or from separate sheets, with leivaemyh along the spine.

At the same time, many different printed periodicals are published in which readers are particularly interested in only certain headings or separate articles or publications, which, as a rule, are printed in various shapes and sizes and which are practically unsuitable for their subsequent long-term storage and use except as clippings collected in folders or clippings pasted into albums.

The disadvantage of this method of obtaining prints in the printing production of books is the ability to use only whole individual printed units in the form of sheets or notebooks and the inability to reuse partially partial blocks of printed units in the manufacture of needlework books.

According to the format (width and height), book editions are usually divided into the following groups:

large format books - size 205 × 260 mm and above;

medium format books - from 120 × 165 to 170 × 240 mm in size;

small-format books - from 107 × 177 to 100 × 140 mm in size;

miniature books - in Russia - no larger than 100 × 100 mm, in some countries no more than 76 × 76 mm or less;

microbooks - in Russia - not higher than 10 × 10 mm.

Moreover, it is known that books of large, medium and small format are made mainly by printing methods using special industrial equipment, and miniature format books and microbooks are made mainly by hand without special industrial equipment.

This necessitates the search for new ways of layout and publication of printed materials.

Known newspaper, magazine or book printing publication containing printing elements of at least one type, and at least one printing element of a given type in a certain place on its surface is provided with a label, the shape of which is randomly selected from a given set, and on a part of the surface of the aforementioned a printing element including said mark, an opaque removable mask is applied. The closest in technical essence and the achieved technical result (prototype) is a periodical printed publication containing from 16 to 64 pages in A4 to A3 format and an insert with fields designed to accommodate recipes and made with the possibility of separation, separation and conversion into a separate brochure , while the pages are equipped with a field for posting information about the culinary astrological forecast, a field for posting information about the weekly ration, a field for posting information about the special food, a field for culinary fiction, and each of these fields contains an internal field for placing a culinary recipe [12 (prototype)].

The disadvantages of this solution are the need to make special insert sheets in the publication, as well as the inability to use traditionally published materials in separate sections of the printed edition as printed modules for home-made books.

Currently, many consumers of periodicals, making newspaper and magazine clippings of publications they are interested in (articles, drawings, photographs, headings, etc.), are faced with the problem of their further storage and use.

Storing in folders, sticking on sheets of an “album” does not solve the problem, and often only complicates storage and subsequent use, especially with a significant number of usually multi-format clippings.

Common technical drawbacks of the known analogues described above and other known analogues are the increased complexity of printing and design preparation of text before printing, the unsuitability of clippings from well-known newspaper and magazine prints for subsequent use by making homemade handmade books for their normal use storage and use (savings).

In this regard, there was an urgent problem of the rational use of newspaper and magazine clippings from mass, free or cheap print media, usually printed on cheap newsprint, unsuitable for long-term storage, as initial printed modules for making books by hand at home (handmade books) without introducing additional well-known leaflets into known print media or without printing book-to-book modules into them.

TASK AND TECHNICAL RESULT

The objective and technical result of this utility model is to provide the possibility of using newspaper and magazine clippings from well-known print publications for making home-made handmade miniature books from paper clippings for their further rational storage and use in the form of original, durable and easy-to-use miniature books in exclusive versions, having a completely finished look of ordinary industrially published books, but made independently tion home with a conventional simple office equipment.

At the same time, the publishers have the opportunity to creatively approach their publication of printed materials in accordance with their technical capabilities and aesthetic preferences, to decide for themselves what to produce according to the format of the proposed printing module for handmade miniature books, and what to leave unchanged in the publication, in the previously adopted prepress settings printed sheet and previous formats of printed publications.

According to a useful model, the usual fastening (stitching) of sheets along the spine is not required, since a new method is proposed for manufacturing miniature books by gluing the outer sides of single-fold notebooks formed by folding the proposed printing modules by gluing along the entire area or around the perimeter of adjacent pages formed into a book block, which after binding in the usual way it turns into an original, durable and convenient for long-term use hand-made miniature book.

A characteristic feature of a hand-made miniature book of the Rumik-K type is the connection of individual sheets (single-fold notebooks) when they are mutually bonded (glued) not along the spine, but along the area or along the perimeter of adjacent sheets of notebooks from the proposed printing modules — mutual gluing of the reverse sides of printed modules. This significantly increases the strength of the book from newspaper and magazine clippings, since each page of such a handmade book becomes two-layer, glued inside or across the entire inner surface or along the inner perimeter.

Distinctive, characteristic features of hand-made miniature books on the printed module "Rumik-K", and accordingly of hand-made miniature books on the printed module "Rumik-K" are:

continuous, and not radically, sizing of adjacent pages of single-flex notebooks;

the ability of the author-compiler to independently set (select) a book block, including its creative thoughts in its scope: textual additions, illustrations, possibly blank sheets for notes, etc .;

the ability to collect a book (form a book block) for virtually any length of time, increasing its volume as the next notebook material is prepared and gluing it to an already assembled book block;

the availability of the materials and tools used to make the book, the simplicity of technology, which does not require any special organization of the workplace, or complex mechanisms and devices for making the book, for example, for sewing a book block,

the availability of the proposed technology for the manufacture of handmade books for adults and children, and people full of strength and disability, technology that does not require complex knowledge and skills, special equipment, technology available to almost everyone!

The task is solved in more detail and the required technical result is achieved by the fact that in the proposed printing module for the handmade miniature book containing the printing field and the surrounding fields, the printing field is made with the right and left parts of the printing field symmetrically arranged relative to the central axis, configured to their combination during transverse bending of the printing module along the central axis.

The utility model provides for the possibility of using printed pages of the publication on only one side, that is, the second side of the clipping, whatever it would be occupied with, closes when glued. This also solves one more practical problem: simplifying the layout for printing by the publisher himself, since when using the utility model there is no need to configure the descent of the strips for a multi-page book, usually printed on both sides.

In the printing module according to the utility model, elements of auxiliary labels known from the prior art are used: pagination, No. and date of publication, etc., but they have a new purpose and allow you to get a new result - provide the pages of the future miniature book with technical elements for ease of reference in the future .

The utility model does not require the introduction of new printed material (cut-out advertising modules, etc.), but it allows the designer to “organize” the press so that for further use of this material in the preparation of a miniature book, no additional manipulations with the publication itself (magazine, newspaper) will be required , a leaflet, etc.), except for accurate cutting with scissors (knife) according to the proposed marking according to the format and layout of the proposed print module for a handmade miniature book.

The claimed technical solutions allow in the prepress preparation of the information material of the printed publication, release it immediately according to the claimed printing module without complex, cumbersome and time-consuming design alterations.

The reader of a printed publication, having made clippings of the claimed printed modules, is given the opportunity to independently turn them into an original miniature book for home use for optimal use and storage in the future.

The inventive printing module for needlework miniature glued books (abbreviated as "Rumik-K") is intended for use in almost any mass print media, but mainly in periodicals, advertising and information and reference print publications (magazines, newspapers, newsletters, booklets, directories, schedules, catalogs, etc.).

The idea of the proposed utility model is a relatively simple, but previously unknown method of constructing a printed page (sheet) of a printed publication according to the format of the proposed Rumik-K module: design, layout and descent, for the purpose of possible subsequent use by the consumer of the printed publication (buyer, reader, by the recipient, consumer) clippings from the printed publication for their independent transformation into a miniature needlework book - up to 76 mm in width and height of the trimmed finished block - international new requirements or up to 100 mm - according to Russian standards.

Publication of information in print media in the format of the proposed module “Rumik-K” allows, making clippings, turn them into original miniature books, strong, durable and convenient for further long-term storage and use.

A distinctive feature of the proposed Rumik-K printing module is the division of the publication into printed blocks of a certain format and size with technical attributes of the expanded printed page of the book: fields, pagination (page numbering), footer, print field and other technical elements (see figure 1 , 3, 4, 6, 7 drawings).

The dimensions of the proposed printing module, first of all, its width and height are determined in each case by the designer (publisher). It is important that the accepted module parameters are saved for similar publications (headings) from number to number of the printed publication.

Interest in the information material of a print publication in the format of the Rumik-K print module can take place not only among the consumer, but also among publishers with advertisers.

Publishers and advertisers get an additional opportunity to increase the attractiveness and popularity of a periodical print publication (obvious commercial prospect) and another interesting channel for working with consumers (customers, readers, consumers) with a wide range of promising development of this direction in their business projects: competitions, exhibitions, joint events, etc.

For users (consumers) of print media, the use of a utility model allows:

to finally provide an opportunity !, making clippings from a variety of newspaper and magazine printed publications, to collect them and turn them into original, strong, durable and easy-to-use compact personal miniature books;

when communicating with publishers and / or advertisers, take part in their advertising and other promotions, counting on benefits, bonuses and preferences;

get involved in a new type of collecting - gathering and communicating with lovers of such needlework - making miniature books in the format of "Rumik-K";

to provide an opportunity to use the information of publications in the form of Rumik-K modules for preschool work in kindergartens, extracurricular activities with schoolchildren and group work with various categories of young and older people, clients of hospitals, sanatoriums, rest homes, health-improving children's camps, in t .h. disabled people.

One more detail should be noted: the fact that today it often goes first to the ballot box and then to the landfill (mass periodicals) will find worthy application and saving of previously spent work, from paper manufacturers to publishers, people of creative professions, gatherers and artisans.

Publications in the Rumik-K format will open the way to a new, previously absent, opportunity for creative personalities (still unopened poets, artists, etc.) to have their works in printed form in the form of books in miniature format.

The proposed method of forming the book "Rumik-K", gives a number of advantages over other methods of manufacturing a book block (sewing, gluing sheets on the spine, etc.), namely:

the book "Rumik-K" can be collected gradually, one leaflet-fold, as new clippings are received;

a completely incomplete printed block allows you to immediately use it like a regular book (brochure);

in the volume of a handmade book, you can insert sheets made by yourself, with your comments, additions, illustrations, etc.

As an example of the possible implementation of the utility model, the figures of the drawings show a mock-up (example) of such a book made on the basis of publications of the St. Petersburg weekly Panorama-TV advertising and information weekly (2010-2011), some sections of which are already very close to use in the proposed format, but require minor design amendments. In this case, no additional financial costs, which may still occur in the first publications, are practically not required.

The diagrams of the proposed print module, print publication and book shown on the drawings on the example of publications of the weekly Panorama-TV St. Petersburg (October 2011) allow us to give a more visual comparative analysis of the design (publishing) changes for the project.

Figures 5, 6, 7, 8 clearly show the possibility of turning a conventional printed sheet (p. 77 of the weekly Panorama-TV St. Petersburg (October 2011) into a blank for the manufacture of handmade Rumik-K miniature books.

The figures and photos of the attached drawings clearly show:

the technical feasibility of making a handmade miniature book from newsprint of a specific printed publication,

the need for the presence in the printed module of the fields for trimming the block, pagination, footer, etc.

An example of a finished finished hand-made miniature book with all its attributes: a title page, pages for placing the technical apparatus of the book, bookends, captals, in a binding cover.

The manufacturing technology of needlework miniature books glued on the basis of Rumik-K print modules is an almost step-by-step instruction on how to make hand-made miniature books from newspaper and magazine clippings made in the format of the Rumik-K module in periodicals and other printed publications , and is carried out as follows:

carefully cut out the printed sheet of the publication or part of it that occupies the publication of interest to us from the printed publication;

cut out individual printed modules for a handmade miniature book (hereinafter referred to as “printed modules”) according to marks from a printed sheet of a publication;

add each printing module in half (vertically), which is essentially an expanded page of a book;

stack the first in the order of the pages folded printing module (first notebook) on a substrate of plywood (hardboard, etc.). At this point, all further notebooks will be further formed (assembled), glued together in order;

stack the second notebook on a substrate from any piece of paper and glue it (or in another way) and glue it along the entire plane or around the perimeter from the side on which it will be glued to the first notebook;

stacking the second notebook with the glued side on the first notebook lying on a plywood substrate, while combining both notebooks along the spine;

they manually iron a stack of future pages of a handmade miniature book (book block) that is obtained from a set of notebooks, compacting the glued places;

stack on the received printing unit (a stack of notebooks) a temporary load for drying and compaction;

repeat the above operations with the third and subsequent notebooks until the desired result is a certain thickness of the book block, completion of the selection or solution of compositional tasks: layout of the print section, chapter, completeness of the material, orientation to dates, etc .;

if necessary, additional sheets of usually obligatory technical design of the book are independently prepared: title page, table of contents (contents), imprint - author, compiler, publisher, city, date, etc. The format of these additional sheets should correspond to the size of the printed modules of the book being collected;

independently make two bookends, the dimensions of which must also correspond to the dimensions of our module, and stick them to the book block;

glue the book block along the spine, reinforcing it with radicular tissue;

cut the book block on three sides and glue the captals.

The result is a book block ready to be inserted into the binding cover.

The binding cover is made by any known method.

It is advisable to supplement the book block assembled and glued from newspaper and magazine clippings - printed modules with sheet-leaves.

The presence of additional sheets performed independently: the title, technical apparatus of the book (table of contents, imprint), gives the book a finished look of a regular book published by polygraphists.

At the same time, it turns out not a semi-finished product, but a miniature edition, moreover, made independently, in a single exclusive version.

A characteristic difference from the prototype is the connection of notebook sheets, which are single-flex notebooks based on newspaper and magazine clippings - printed modules, fastening (gluing) notebook sheets not along the spine, but along the entire plane or along the perimeter of the contacting sides of the printed modules folded in half in the form of adjoining each other to a friend of notebooks.

This not only makes the book block more durable, durable and reliable in long-term operation. When gluing adjacent newspaper and magazine clippings - printing modules in this way, the reverse sides of notebook sheets (newspaper and magazine clippings - printed modules) are closed (hidden), filled with completely different, unnecessary, unnecessary information that has nothing to do with publication in clipping modules.

This circumstance frees the publisher from the design alterations of printed sheets in the prepress preparation of printed publications and significantly simplifies the layout of pages of the printed publication when using the proposed printing modules.

When using the utility model, one-sided printing is simpler in layout and printing, since the location of the printed material on the printed sheet should be controlled only on one side of the printed sheet.

In appearance, as a result of using the proposed utility model, the original hand-made miniature book in appearance does not practically differ from other miniature publications issued by various printing companies, which proves the high creative level of the patented utility model.

Thus, in its most general form, the technology for making a miniature book consists of prepress design preparation of a printed publication according to the format of the proposed Rumik-K printing module, clippings printed according to the format of the module, fragments of printed information, making a book block from these clippings and subsequent binding by conventional methods to obtain a finished hand-made miniature book that does not outwardly differ from miniature books made by printing in the printing environment, but their superior strength and durability in the initial use of the same newspaper and magazine cheap paper.

The photos in Figs. 13 and 14 clearly show the unsatisfactory quality of the page of a miniature book without preliminary prepress preparation of the material for the format of the proposed printing module, which proves the impossibility of producing high-quality miniature books without the proposed utility model.

Thus, the utility model effectively solves the problems that arise for everyone who would like to use clippings from printed periodicals and allows not only organizing clippings into a hand-made miniature book, but also making an original cognitive souvenir in the form of a miniature print. That is, a useful model allows you to successfully solve the problem and confidently achieve the required technical result.

In general, given the novelty and non-obviousness of the utility model, shown in the section "Background" and "The essence of the utility model", the materiality of all the general and particular features of the utility model, proved in the section "Disclosure of the utility model", and also shown in the section "Implementation of the utility models ", the feasibility of a utility model and the possibility of its wide practical use in the printing industry, solving the problem and achieving a technical result, in our opinion, the claimed group of useful models It meets all the requirements for eligibility requirements for utility models.

Thus, there is every reason to assert that the utility model meets all the requirements of eligibility, and a detailed analysis shows that all the general and particular features of the utility model are essential, since each of them is necessary, and all together they are not only sufficient to solve the set tasks and achieving the desired technical result, but also allow you to implement a useful model in an industrial way.

The solution of the general problem and the achievement of a single technical result proves the existence of a single inventive concept and the possibility of combining a group of utility models in one application.
