Description

The utility model relates to means for the care and maintenance of animals, for example, cats and dogs, and is intended to protect their body after medical operations with fixation of dressing material on the body of the animal, as well as for other hygienic purposes.

Known postoperative animal blanket containing an axisymmetric cape of soft tissue, on the sides and back of which there are wedge-shaped cutouts that taper to the axis of symmetry and form the cervical, middle and tail sections of the cape, fastening elements of the cape on the animal’s body, one or more pockets, which are either sewn to the cloak or attached using a micro-velcro fastener, while the pockets can be made of waterproof or raincoat fabric (see IPC A61D 9/00, utility model description to patent No. 46921 of the Russian Federation, published on 08/10/2005)

The disadvantages of the known utility model are:

- limited functionality due to the need to completely remove blankets for the prevention of postoperative sutures and other bodily injuries;

- the presence of pockets, taking into account their purpose, will weaken the fastening elements of the cape and create discomfort for the animal;

Closest to the claimed utility model is a postoperative blanket for animals made of fabric with cutouts on the sides and the back and including the cervical, middle and tail sections with fixing elements, in the form of strings fixed perpendicular to the edge of the blanket, and the blanket is made of one or two layers of tissue material (see http://www.aha.ru/~petsisle/ "Postoperative blanket for dogs", "Postoperative blanket for cats") - the closest analogue.

The disadvantages of the known blankets are low performance characteristics due to the fact that:

- low adherence density of blankets to the body of the animal during operation of the fixing elements fixed inside between the layers, which, depending on the mobility of the animal and the environment, gradually lose their initial fixing characteristics;

- fastening the ties by sewing inside two layers of fabric does not exclude their tearing during operation and reduces the reliability of fastening blankets on the body of the animal;

The technical result of the claimed utility model is to increase operational characteristics.

The essence of the technical solution lies in the fact that in the postoperative blanket for animals made of one or two layers of tissue material with cutouts on the sides and back and including the cervical, middle and tail sections with fixing elements fixed perpendicular to their edge, on the sides of the cervical areas of the side and rear sides of the middle section are zones made with a zigzag stitch, and the locking elements are made in the form of ribbons such as braid, while it additionally contains socks made of rikotazhnogo material laid down in the cut-out area for the front paws.

The presence of zones made with a zigzag stitch allows for tailoring to provide the possibility of fitting it to the desired size of the animal and, in addition, the stitch in this case keeps the edge of the blanket from shedding, and in the case of a two-layer blanket it reinforces the adhesion of the layers to each other.

In contrast to the closest analogue, the fixing elements are made in the form of tapes, which allows them to be fixed, which eliminates the pulling out of the fixing elements during the operation of blankets, both when tying and when moving the animal.

A golf blanket made of knitted material is used in the case of surgical removal of claws in cats and provides minimal constraint on the shoulder and hip joints of the paws, without restricting the movement of the animal, which is important to maintain the mobility of the paws especially when jumping and to avoid any injuries.

Performing a blanket from a fabric material, for example, chintz “Dawn” according to GOST 29298-2005, for cats or type “New” according to GOST 7701-93, for dogs ensures the protection of joints from licking, good fixation of gauze wipes, air permeation, moisture absorption. Blankets from such material are easily washed, disinfected and serve throughout the postoperative period. The blanket is made of one layer or two layers of material, depending on the complexity of the postoperative sutures or the severity of other injuries, while maintaining the above characteristics.

The above advantages provide the achievement of a technical result - improving the performance of blankets.

The proposed utility model is illustrated by drawings, where in Fig.1 shows a postoperative blanket in expanded form, the outer side; figure 2 is the same with the line "zigzag", figure 3 is the same with golf.

Postoperative animal blanket is made of a single-layer or two-layer fabric material such as chintz or teak and includes a neck section 1, a middle section 2 and a tail section 3. Cuts 4 for the front legs, cuts 5 for the hind legs and the back are made on the sides. 6 (see figure 2), which is provided for dogs. On the outer surface of the lateral sides of sections 1, 2, 3 (see FIG. 1), fixing elements 7, 8 are respectively fixed perpendicular to their edge; 9, 10; 11, 12; 13, 14; 15, 16; 17, 18; 19, 20. All the locking elements are made, for example, of cotton tape such as braid LE-15-12x-b (see figure 1). On the lateral sides of the cervical region 1, the lateral and posterior sides of the middle region 2 and in the rear region 3, a zigzag stitch 21 is made, which is used in the case of fitting to the size of the animal (see FIG. 2). This blanket is mainly used for dogs and large cats. The blanket shown in figure 3 additionally contains knee-high socks 22, 23, fixed with ribbons 24, 25 in the area of the cutout 4 for the forepaws, and is used as postoperative after removing the claws or in the presence of wounds and injuries on the forepaws of cats.

Postoperative blanket is used as follows: After an operation, for example, sterilization, the blanket is put on the animal and the fixation tapes are connected together in the following sequence: first tapes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 are connected, of which tape 8 , 10, 11, 12 are pulled together into one common node. Then tapes 15 and 16 are connected to each other, but before that a sterile lining or a special absorbent patch is applied to the wound. Then, tapes 17, 18, 19, 20 are bonded over the base of the tail. To re-treat the wound, only tapes 17, 18, 19, 20 are untied (see Figs. 1 and 2). Tapes on a blanket (see figure 3) are connected in the same order, and the socks 22, 23 are fixed using tapes 24, 25.

Compared with the known analogues of the claimed postoperative blanket provides quick and convenient access to the postoperative suture for its processing, changing the gasket can be carried out when only two fixing tapes are untied, which speeds up the dressing process and allows less damage to the animal's psyche.

The construction of blankets, the location and binding of the fixing elements exclude the possibility of pulling off blankets to animals.

Thanks to the material used, postoperative blanket can be used at any time of the year.
