Abstract

Invention herewith described refers to the beneficiation of low-grade copper ores. The process for extraction precious and platinum metals and their concentration from the copper ore, according to the invention, refers to a more efficient separation of solid material by means of the new chemical structure of the collector, and the subsequent processing of the concentrate by using the flotation, and in particular to the more efficient separation of the lower contents of precious metals and the platinum in the concentration products to achieve the desired utilization of metal in the copper concentrate and further refining. In that way, there is achieved the maximum utilization of precious and platinum metals along with a high quality of the concentrate, which is advantageous for further metallurgical processing, lower operating costs and greater metallurgical exploiting of metal. Accordingly, with the appliance of the more selective and stronger collector 3404, in comparison with other collectors, there are obtained the greater energy affinities and the binding speed of the collector to the surfaces of the precious platinum metals.
