Abstract
Invention herewith described enables a significant simplification of the process of getting H2 by the electrolysis of water, and the separation of only one free gas - oxygen into the space. This has significantly simplified the construction of hydrogen-generator - electrolyser, contributing significantly to a cheaper product – the generator. At the moment of production, hydrogen separated by an electrochemical process is absorbed into the electrode assembly (cathode material), which is the subject of the invention. Upon the termination of electrolysis, in the absence of voltage, absorbed hydrogen from the cathode material is desorbed with the warm electrolyte and transported through a single gas area (in the absence of oxygen gas released into the atmosphere during the electrolysis) to the hydrogen reservoir, using the temperature desorption energy, as a kind of pump.Such a simplified generator is particularly suitable for the accumulation of renewable energy sources using unstable primary energy (solar energy, wind energy, wave energy, etc.).Produced hydrogen from the reservoir is used for various purposes in industry, and can be used directly in the system where exist fuel cells producing electrical energy accumulated in the form of hydrogen. The invention is a triple apparatus in one: electrolyser, hydrogen reservoir (temporary), and a compressor.
