Abstract
The process comprises pptn. of silver ions with alkaline cyanide based from an aqs. soln. of silver nitrate in dil. nitric acid. The initial concn. is 1-10g/l and the final concn. is 0.1-1g/l. Pref. the concn. are 7-8 and 0.5g/l, in the temp. range 10-49 degrees C, with recovery of the precious metal from stock soln. in the form of silver iodide.
