Procedeul de obtinere a acestuia consta în copolimerizarea în solutie metanolica sau etanolica a unui substrat compus din 80...95% în greutate acetat de vinil si 20...50% în greutate anhidrida maleica, în prezenta azoizobutironitrilului, la temperaturi cuprinse în intervalul 60...75 degree C, timp de 8...10 h . Acest copolimer se utilizeaza ca agent de încleiere a firelor textile sintetice, ca apret sau ca adeziv.The vinyl copolymer according to the invention consists of 80 ... 95 mole percent of methyl or methyl maleic acid semiester units having an active substance content of 48 ... 50%.
