Abstract
Reactorul pentru conversia catalitica a dioxidului de sulf la trioxid de sulf, conform inventiei, este utilizabil în cadrul instalatiilor de acid sulfuric cu functionare în simpla sau dubla cataliza. Este constituit dintr-un corp cilindric avand în interior unul sau mai multe straturi de catalizator dispuse în plan vertical, compartimentate în 4 trepte de conversie prin intermediul a 4 pereti radiali. Utilajul are de asemenea în interior 4 schimbatoare de caldura demontabile si un dispozitiv de dirijare a gazelor surforoase. Faza gazoasa este introdusa în fiecare treapta de conversie pe deasupra portiunilor de strat de catalizator si intra radial de la exterior la interior sau invers, dupa care este trecuta prin schimbatorul de caldura pentru racire si apoi este dirijata în treapta urmatoare de conversie. Acest utilaj asigura o distributie uniforma a gazelor pe straturile de catalizator, permite mentinerea parametrilor tehnologici la valorile prescrise si acces rapid la schimbatoarele de caldura, prezinta siguranta în functionare si în cazul utilizarii mai multor straturi de catalizatorconduce la un consum redus de energie necesar pentru transportul fazei gazoase prin reactor.
