Inventia se refera la un procedeu pentu prepararea unor derivati de aminoacizi cu formula generala I: (vezi formula) în care X reprezinta gruparea -COOR1, R1 fiind un radical alchil inferior, alchenil inferior sau fenil substuituit cu alchil sau alcoxi inferior, Ar reprezinta fenil sau naftil eventual substituiti cu alchil inferior, alchenil inferior, alchinil inferior, halogen, acetamido, amino, nitro, alchilamino, hidroxi, hidroxialchil sau ciano prin reactia unui epoxid cu formula generala Ii (vezi formula) în care Ar si X au semnificatiile de mai sus, în proportii aproximativ stoichiometrice cu o amina cu formula generala III: H2N-R în care R are semnificatiile de mai sus, prin încalzire la reflux.The invention relates to a process for the preparation of amino acid derivatives of the general formula I wherein X represents the group -COOR 1, R 1 being a lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or phenyl substituted with lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, Ar represents phenyl or naphthyl optionally substituted with lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, lower alkynyl, halogen, acetamido, amino, nitro, alkylamino, hydroxy, hydroxyalkyl or cyano by reacting an epoxide of the general formula II above, in approximately stoichiometric proportions with an amine of the general formula III: H2N-R wherein R has the above meaning, by heating to reflux.
