Inventia se refera la un procedeu ce realizeaza precompresarea distorsiunilor cauzate de interferenta tranzitiilor adiacente de pe nediul magnetic, prin luarea în consideratie a opt biti si prin aplicarea a doua trepte de întîrziere, diferentiat, în functie de marimea distorsiunii respective. Circuitul de codare este constituit dintr-un bloc de codare MFM a datelor receptionate an cod NRZ, realizat cu doua circuite de selectie a sensului si treptei de precompensare. Aceasta este realizata cu doua linii de întîrziere, un registru de plasare, care primeste datele codate NRZ, o memorie PROM, care contine o tabela a precompensarilor, un registru de tip "D" pentru înmagazinarea informatiei referitoare la sensul si marimea precompresarii, un multiplicator prin care se selecteaza una din cele doua trepte de precompensare, sase SAU-NU validate corespunzator cu semnalele primite de la blocul codor. This is accomplished with two delay lines, a placement register that receives NRZ encoded data, a PROM memory containing a precompensation table, a "D" type register for storing information about the pre-compression meaning and size, a multiplier whereby one of the two precompensation steps is selected, six OR NOT validated with the signals received from the encoder block. Three multiplication circuits determine the precompression meaning, and an SI gate receives one of the three pulses generated to provide the MFM encoded signal.
