Inventia se refera la un procedeu de protectie la supracurent la care se masoara viteza de variatie a curentului la trecerea prin zero prin comparatia modului unei tensiuni proportionale cu curentul controlat cu tensiune constanta de valoare foarte mica obtinîndu-se un interval de timp care pentru valori mici de ordinul a 0,5....1ms este invers proportional cu viteza de variatie a curentului respectiv cu valoarea maxima a tensiunii si a curentului.
