Masticul vîsco-plastic-elastic pentru etansarea rosturilor în constructii civile si industriale se caracterizeaza prin aceea ca este constituit din 20...100 parti în greutate cauciuc butadienstirenic poliizoprenic sau amestecul acestora în proportiede 60:40, 20...10 parti în greutate amestecuri de materiale refolosibile rezultate fie de la articole presate, fie de la protectii anticorosive pe baza de cauciuc natural, poliizoprenic, butadienstirenic, policloroprenic sau butilic, 50...180 parti îngreutate oxid de zinc, 20...80 parti în greutate caolina calcinata, 50...300 parti în greutate creta macinata, 50...250 parti în greutate bitum parafinos de izolatii, 20...100 parti în greutate gudron de huila, 10...150 parti în greutate ulei de ant racen, 50...100 parti în greutate smoala cu punct de înmuiere 80 degree C, 10...100 parti în greutate colofoniu neesterificat sau 10...80 parti în greutate colofoniu esterificat, 5...15 parti în greutate silice activa sau microazbest, 50...160 parti în greutate benzina de extractie si 10...300 parti în greutate toluen sau xilen. Procedeul pentru obtinerea masticului consta în aceea ca, în scopul asigurarii unei omogenitati crescute, se efectueaza în prima faza gonflarea materialelor refolosibile în toluen sau xilen timp de 12...24 h, dupa care se adauga elastomerii în stare cruda si apoi celelalte componente în amestec cu solventii respectivi.
